It also gives me a lot more peace about leaving him because at least now I know he is making progress. She listened quietly, her expression hovering somewhere between sympathy and amusement. “You know,” she said finally, “you might be overreacting a bit. He’s not a kid anymore, and Kaelin can’t be that bad.” I gave her a look. “You clearly haven’t met him.” She laughed and leaned back. “I’ve heard of him, actually. Lloyd never shuts up about the guy. It’s always ‘Kaelin this, Kaelin that.’ Apparently, Kaelin’s got the body of a Greek god or something, because Lloyd’s been working out nonstop to ‘get on his level.’ It’s driving me insane.”
