Since there isn't a New Adult Fiction tag, I'm forced to use the Romance tag. However, there isn't much of a difference, except the aforementioned explains the book better.

I dashed out of the room to meet Jada who was waiting at the library. As I got there, there were already several books thrown around the tables. She climbed the ladder and was on the fifth shelf, searching relentlessly for something. “I can't find it.” She turned towards me, cleaning the beads of sweat from her forehead. “The book of seers, it should be here somewhere.” I moved to the other shelves, trying to find the book as well. All that I saw were books about martial arts and elemental control. “Here it is.” Jada breathed heavily and climbed down the ladder with a heavy-looking book in her hand.

I would stay here for hours just so I didn't have to see dad. Maybe that's why I had unconsciously avoided revisiting this place. Nothing seemed to change. The library was mostly filled with books on pack history—nothing interesting, but... I needed to find a book, 'The Book of Prophesies'.
