Alpha's Regret After I Died
I was walking because I finally knew where I belonged.
I found Melissa and Alice in the library. The air was filled with incense and crushed herbs, the long table buried beneath maps, bottles, chalk markings, and half-burned candles. Alice was bent over a map, a crystal clenched in her hand, her shoulders tight with frustration. Melissa stood nearby, flicking through a heavy old book.
Alice let out a long, defeated sigh. “This is hopeless,” she muttered. “She’s just… gone. Like she never existed.” Alice turned around, dropping the crystal on the table. “Liz.”
