At the center was a tall oak tree with branches stretching wide, its roots sinking into deep, fertile soil. The sky above shifted from the calm tones of dawn to the bright colors of morning, blending light oranges into soft blues. Beneath the tree, a path curved gently, leading toward a horizon that seemed endless.
Lucien stepped closer, brushing away a stray line of dried paint on the corner. He had poured his heart into this one.
