She trailed off thinking as she looked from the tiny insects to Lilly’s expectant face, “there are more magical things then them, like your smile, now that is magic.” Lilly tilted her head, “why is my smile more magical than a bug that lights up, or the stars that twinkle in the sky?” Rochelle shook her head slightly, “you have more magic then you know, you make people smile just by being you, laugh because your just being around them makes them feel joy and you steal their power of age away from them, allowing them to feel as if they too are a child, it’s truly magical to see you do that.”

Moira grouses beneath her breath. “Well, my beautiful and smart sister, let's do something about that!” I tell her, flicking my wrist. The ground moves beneath our feet as the roots bury themselves into the ground. Moira's little bubble of light grows in size until we can see around us. Sometimes I really love having magical powers.

It was like an aura surrounding the moon and changing its peaceful and romantic nature into a magical powerful state. The blue rays were cascading on the graves and spilling its supernatural waves of energy on the holy ground of the graves. It filled me with an unexplainable sense of serenity; I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling. I felt calm, at ease, all the anxiousness that I felt earlier were now dispersed. It was like swimming peacefully alone in a lake, where the water surrounded my body and drowned me in complete quietness.

But why let a small detail like that stand in the way? An hour later, she stood in front of her mirror, admiring her makeshift disguise: baggy blue pants, a brown belt with a cobra buckle, a collared shirt tucked under a dark vest, black hat, a fake mustache, and boots that had seen better days. "Not bad," she mused. Her reflection was, at best, unconvincing, but desperate times called for questionable outfits.

I didn't have the first clue and a small whine escaped from me as I tried to figure it out. Derek understood my dilemma, "Just relax, take a deep breath, and concentrate hard on being human. The magic should do it automatically." I took a deep breath and tried to picture myself as I looked in the mirror. I put all my will into that thought and concentrated on becoming human. It took me a long moment, but I felt the world begin to melt and shimmer around me. I ended up crouched on the table completely naked.

Sil said with her mouth full of cookie bits. “Yes.” “So, this place is magical?” I asked trying to piece things together. “Don’t be silly. It’s just glamour. A trick to human eyes.” “Please, by all means, call us humans even if you’re not one of us.” I told her sarcastically. “People then. If you prefer it that way.” She said catching on my sarcasm. Sill tried to hide her smile but I saw it. “Daylight, I don’t know you but seeing that my brother has I’m guessing he met you in one of his hysterical dreams.” She stood. Daylight looked at her.

He watched Killian with fascination, his lips curling. “I wondered how long it would take for your blood to show itself.” Killian staggered back, breath ragged, shadows writhing around him like a cloak. He wanted to stop, but the magic wanted more. His rage was its feast, and it was still hungry. “Seize him!” Averre roared. More guards surged forward. Killian’s vision blurred red, his heart hammering faster and faster until he couldn’t tell if it was his pulse or the vault of shadows in his chest.

She sounded desperate, placing her hand over mine. "There is a magic that can make you look different. They are called glamours. But the spell is only temporary. They can't help you long term." In my own studies, I came across a story or two of supernaturals changing their form. I would look into the possibility, but I didn't want to get her hopes up. "Get to class, and when I have information, I'll let you know," I said, handing her the note. She picked up her backpack and wiped her face as she stood. It was a mess. "Thank you, Miss Croswell."

Candles flared with emotion — blue when she was calm, gold when Adrian was near, violet when the curse felt… jealous. > “We have a problem,” Adrian said one evening. “It’s using you as an emotional barometer. So peaceful. Kissing under the moonlight is one of many fantasy. I can feel a different kind of magic between us. This felt magical. A magical night......
