I scrambled across the stone floor, my hands slipping in the blood and debris.
"Not yet!" Magnus shouted, intercepting me.
He tackled me, pinning me to the ground just ten feet away from Kaelen. He wrapped his arms around my waist, his face buried in my neck, inhaling deeply.
"Don't look at him," Magnus panted, his voice thick with adrenaline and lust. "Look at me. I'm the one who won. I'm the Alpha now."
"Get off me!" I screamed, clawing at his face. I tore a strip of skin from his cheek, but he didn't let go. He just laughed, tightening his grip.
