Prologue Daniel's POV I went on with my life, not expecting even a tiny bit of happiness to find me, I was just living under the dark side of life. Killing, hunting monsters. No happiness, not even love. Nothing could reach my frozen soul. That is, if I had a soul.

His voice was gentle. Lennox placed the file he was holding in her lap. She blinked at the file and then at him before she went through the content inside.
