They stood in a place that looked like a giant factory. Thousands of Junes lined up, each holding a Golden Book. Thousands of Dantes stood beside them.

June staggered to her feet, head spinning. Next to her, another June—identical, but in a nurse’s uniform—turned and whispered, “Which version are you? Did you make it to the Oven, or die in the Pantry?”
