However, the next day was her birthday, and she needed to leave her room to celebrate. When she returned to the room after celebrating her birthday, she discovered that her rabbit, whom she had named raby, was no longer where she left it. She looked everywhere for it and panicked when she couldn't find it. In only one day, the small animal has made its place in her heart. She dashed out of her room, looking for her raby.

[POV: Colin Smith] Colin sprinted forward weaving around the trees, instinctively avoiding the undergrowth and bumps. After four long years, he was used to running around in the forest. The blasted animal was faster than he had thought. He had been following a thunder-rabbit for a few minutes now. They were a magical beast that looked similar to rabbits, only as big as a dog and their furs stood on ends with shades of purple. It was one of the few D tier beasts that also had a blood sack. Not only were their meat a delicacy, but a blood sack from a D tier beast could also be sold for three silver coins. Which was a lot of money for someone like Colin.

"Don't stop, no matter what's happening to me. I will catch up. If you find Liam, tell him I will be right there." The blond no-fur next to him began to shift into his Bunny form. "I'm not saying I'm the best fighter, but I can do more like this. My name's Bright, by the way. The Hare we are facing might be using some heavy auric magic. He doesn't have a bond, so Nickel might have stolen some of the red gems or - Father of Hares watch over us - the super-powered green ones."

My heart sank. “Look!” the maid cried, her voice high-pitched, perfectly rehearsed. She held the rabbit up for everyone to see. Its small body dangled lifeless, its eyes dull, its fur matted. “We fed this rabbit the same potion she gave the ex-Alpha—and it died instantly! She killed him! She poisoned him!” I stared, stunned, the blood draining from my face. My stomach lurched violently. “That’s a lie! That’s not possible! I—”

He retorted, glaring at her. She looked down at the rabbit and he was alive. Eliot took him from her arms and wiped the blood from Rabbit's fur before walking inside the cottage leaving her standing there dumbfounded. Huffing in annoyance she limped after him but before she could reach the small flight of stairs. He was back holding the rabbit. He had applied ointment on the two puncture holes and the rabbit wasn't bleeding anymore. He put the rabbit down and the little animal scurried away in such speed that only dust flew in its wake.

After all, our wolf counterparts are gifts to us that protect our human form no matter the consequences. I drop his head to the ground and stand mighty on all fours in front of a buzzing crowd, screaming and cheering out my name. “Hunter wins!” The judge exclaimed before the crowd goes wild. I smile and my eyes land on Ava, only for me to release another thundering growl as I see Ava on her knees. My brows twitch when I see shackles, created by magic, attached to her arms and legs, forcing her to the floor. All eyes turned to the entrance when the doors banged open and a speaker announces words that I instantly dreaded.

Elias raised his arm covered in steel to support it. Unexpectedly, one jumped behind Lily, it opened its mouth full of long, pointed fangs, drooling at Lily. She screamed in despair, reaching out her right hand towards the beast. Suddenly, a beam of light from the red crescent-shaped birthmark in the center of Lily's right palm hit the beast. Both animals were immediately drawn to the roadside stand of two stone statues. Neither Lily nor Elias understood what was happening. Lily's body seemed to exude that power, so she lost her strength and fainted. Elias whirled around, taking her in his big palm.
