Mike Hunt Novels & Stories

CHAPTER 37 HUNTER POV After dropping the message, I wasn't satisfied as I couldn't have access to Kayla's privacy. My mind kept racking that I get a hold of it anymore. During my mind-storming session, my mind stumbled on Mike. I grab my phone and phone Mike who picked up almost instantly. Mike has been a tech guy his phone rarely left his hands. With that, I guess I might be able to describe him with that. "Hey buddy, what's up?" Mike was the first to respond from the other end.

Her wolf stirred, claws itching to break free. “They’re getting closer every week,” Mike continued, his broad shoulders hunching slightly, a mountain worn by time. “Two scouts, maybe three. Lila tracked their scent to the ridge, but they slipped away.” He paused, letting the weight settle, his gaze sweeping the crowd. “We can’t let them think we’re weak.”

“Protecting you? Or just proving what I’ve been saying for years, that he can’t control himself?” Evelyn stepped forward, fists clenched. “You’re lying. Everyone knows Flint is loved by the people. He trains, he leads, he sacrifices. You’ve hated him for years because you’re jealous.” Mike ignored her, eyes still locked on me. The next morning, after hours of restless thoughts, I searched deeper into his past. It didn’t take long to learn what I had feared. Mike had investigated Flint before, quietly pulling strings, looking for ways to stain his name.

He couldn't even stand. Just when it looked like the ragdoll was going to beat him to death, it suddenly stopped and grabbed my hand. Then it used my fingers to lift the knife he had dropped and plunged it straight into his heart. The familiar system chime echoed. [Player Franklin Hanson has been eliminated.] My balance shot up by several hundred coins. My eyes sparkled. "Bunny, you're amazing! You even let me have the kill." The chat exploded. [Weren't these two supposed to be weak monsters? I left for a minute, and now they're so strong!]

While this gave him extra strength, it also made his fighting style impulsive and a little sloppy. I was brainstorming where to hide Richard so I could help Dad protect Sofia when the hunter who killed my mother came over to join his friends. “ They have an older daughter as well. I managed to kill this traitors werewolf bitch but the kid escaped with her baby brother. The kid even managed to kill Jordan. I suspect she also killed everyone else as Hank was dead on the ground and Jake is missing!,” the hunter yelled at his comrades.

He was finally opening up about why he didn't come into my life earlier. "I had been searching for him everywhere, doing everything, questioning every mob bosses who was connected to him in any way in the past, but I couldn't get any fucking lead! He somehow managed to stay untouched. And when I finally got one, I found out that he was dead in a shootout." His eyes were red with rage. "It was a month after the night I saw you again. Sources said he was caught into a trap of the CIA and got shot while he tried to escape. At that moment, I felt like I was defeated, for the first time in my life. But I didn't want to believe it. I kept my investigation on. I kept a tab on Marko who was running

She closed her eyes and willed herself to sleep. Then the banging stopped. She opened one eye and looked up at Dakari. His face had looked so defeated a moment prior, now there was the glint of hope in his eyes. “I do believe my people are here. Get up Lainey, Maggie is coming for us! _______________________ True to his promise the helicopter arrived in Western Ireland in under an hour. Without the boost from Mr. Toma, the short flight would have been about five hours. Judging by what they were witnessing now, they would have been five hours too late.

I stayed quiet, but he started telling the story with a grin. "It is a matter of the time when Norwood was the land of happiness. This kingdom settled on a freakish Island owned by Mike Stewart. It was under his rule when I started working as a statesman. His son was a turning point. It was a headache for him, seeing his son spending nights with various women every day. Because of his s*x obsession, he had fixed his marriage with a village girl, Lisa Dorling. As soon as she stepped in, the storm arrived..." He stood up and moved towards a wooden box covered with dust. Leaning a bit, he shrugged the dust off and said, wandering his hand on the handle of the box. "Want to see something? Come h

I'm not feeling cheerful, but it's unexpectedly good to see them. Machines stop, weights clang, and three sets of eyes turn my way. I'm heading toward the free weights, but stop. No one said "hey," or "hello," or even "fuck you", for that matter. "What's up?" I ask, even though I have a pretty good idea. Mike moves forward. He's the only one of the three who's married. He should also be at work. "Are you fucking around with Danny?" Mike is the one who kept my brother and me from killing each other over Cami. He's a big dude, with a bit of a beer belly and lots of hard muscle thrown in. He takes no crap on the field or off of it.

Everyone was focused on the task at hand, and I had no doubt that we would all keep that focus. Brynn held her hand up to get us all to stop. She moved over to a bush on the side of the path and knelt down in front of it. I followed her and waited for her to explain what she found. Tracking was one of the many things that Mike taught her. I should not be surprised any longer whenever I find out new skills that she possessed. She took her phone out of her pocket and snapped a couple of pictures and maximized them for me. There was a set of footprints in front of the bush and blood on its branches. It was not much to go on, but it was our first clue thus far.
