Eve smiled at him. "That's a great idea, Thanks Peter!" Keri replied and Sally and I nodded. We spent the rest of the afternoon, laying out on our big towels, talking and relaxing. Later, as the sun set, Finn, Tom, Leo and Van made a bonfire. Eve, Sally, Hart, Keri, Peter, Jake and I gathered snacks, marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, hot dogs, buns, condiments and drinks. We brought it all out to the roaring fire. We roasted hot dogs and made s'mores all night while we swapped scary stories and played silly games.

The concern in her eyes was obvious, but she was experienced enough to know that some moods couldn't be dragged into the light by force, so in the end she simply let it go. The campfire continued burning steadily in front of us, the logs occasionally giving off soft cracking sounds as the flames consumed them, while tiny sparks drifted upward whenever the wind stirred before vanishing into the darkness above the trees. Somewhere nearby, a group of strangers burst into laughter over a card game, someone else was stubbornly working through the same three guitar chords for the tenth time, and another camper was engaged in an intense battle with a marshmallow that seemed determined either to cat

This was actually a game changer, because i've been burning fresh wood and it produces a lot of smoke. I turned the campfire into a kitchen of the sorts, it's made of stone and mud. I dont have pots, nor cookware, but it's a lot better than just cooking in a campfire for more reasons that i can name. It's safer, consumes less wood, I can grill fish on top of it and It's easy to keep clean. A stump that functions as a seat in front of the kitchen and, of course, the cabin. Everything i made is ugly, but functional. Even the cabin is a bit shabby since i made it with logs I chopped down with sticks while training blunt weapons.

"Actually, I really love the idea of rounding up a couple more girls to come out here with me. That would be so hot. Is Sunday afternoon the only time we can come out here?" Spike responded with, "Well the rest of the week, snake and I are working the range and your boyfriend Brad would be working too. For the camping part, we'd have to build a fireplace and you wouldn't be able to build a big fire, just one big enough to enjoy. Wouldn't want to burn up the range. This is summer and the grass will be drying up some. I suppose it would be alright to camp out here."

I concluded and he smiled nodding. Perfect!! Finally they will have some time together, away from our mess. I saw him wanting to talk to her but then we started hiking and he returned back and ever since we have returned, everyone is busy with the camping arrangements. Cause what in the road trip would that be without camping? We built tents, prepared for the bonfire and Ofcource we are cooking on the grill and fire. The motorhome does have a stove inside but we decided to just do it with coals, woods and fire.

So, I didn't think it was a big mistake. We camped the whole night in the man-made cave. Warming food would only invite enemies through its scent. So, we ate the food that we warmed up earlier this afternoon. That was to save time and effort. "It's very hard to find dry wood here," said Alpha Cedric as he warmed himself in front of a small bonfire. “This is all we can take during the trip earlier. If we use it to warm food, it might not be enough to keep us warm until morning.”

I murmured, resting my chin on top of her head. "I've never felt more at peace," Mia whispered softly, tilting her head up to kiss my cheek. "Just you, me, and our little adventurer." I built a crackling campfire in the stone fire pit behind the cabin, stacking dry logs until the flames danced high into the cooling evening air. I warm up quickly, not holding back the smile on my face. I love campfires. All my childhood memories come back when I see one. “Someone’s happy” Daniel chuckles, pulling me to his chest. “Every time I went to Luke and Gracie’s’ house we would make a fire. Roast marshmallows, occasionally get the smores, if we behaved” I explain. “That’s cute” He pushes my hair behind my ear, staring at me.
