I came here to hide from Marcus and start over. Instead I walked into a house with three wolves who already decided I belonged to them.

Wanda asked, her voice softening slightly. I thought of Lucien standing in that study, shaking but refusing to give up. I thought of the way I had let everyone else write my story for twenty-one years. "I realized that if I’m going to be a monster in their eyes anyway, I might as well be a monster who plays the cello."

“I didn’t get the chance to thank you.” Her breath shook. “Thank me? You kissed me without my permission,” she whispered. “You scared me. And now—now you’re here? Why? What do you want from me?” The corner of his mouth tilted, almost amused. “So you know who I am.” “You’re Adriano Greco,” she said, her voice trembling. “The monster people talk about.” He took another step closer. “Monster?” he repeated softly. “That’s what they call me?”

"They think it's funny because of my name. It’s just a joke." "Stay away from them, Rose.” He grabbed my arm, his grip surprisingly strong. “Do you hear me? Those men... they aren't businessmen. They’re monsters. They’re dangerous." "I know, Dad," I whispered, tears stinging my eyes. "I know." But as I drove, all I could feel was the pulsing ache between my legs. I was terrified of them, but God, I was already craving the way they took me. I was a couple of days away from being their captive, and I was already drowning in the need for their touch.

"It doesn't distract. It fuels me. It makes the world clearer. We end this together, and then, we see what remains of the world." The enemies regrouped, their leader—a scarred veteran of a dozen campaigns—bellowing at his men. "The bond makes them monsters! Ignore your fear! Kill them both!" Aziel laughed, a sound devoid of mirth, echoing with the cold authority of a king. "Monsters? You have no idea what monsters truly look like." They charged again. The bond hummed with a mix of raw, animalistic fury and a haunting, quiet tenderness that defied the carnage. Aziel protected Lior’s blind spot; Lior neutralized threats before they could even threaten Aziel.

A/N: This chapter contains slightly distressing content but nothing too graphic. XENDAYA. As a child, the haunting tales Mom wove for us in the candlelit hours of the night were something I looked forward to. Stories filled with brave heroes and creatures of nightmares who sought to destroy castles and claim lives. Little did I know then, the true monsters of this world are so much more terrifying than what the darkest depths of our imaginations could conjure up.

[Narrator's POV] A long time ago, there was a group of male sinners, also called cursed humans, who had been altered by the Gods to transform into evil giants with fur-covered bodies, bull-like heads, and tails. These monsters, born from the arrogance of man towards the Gods, came to be known as Minotaurs or the Monsters of the Labyrinths. Five of them found themselves trapped inside the confusing structures created by Poseidon, where five pairs were currently walking through. "To kill is to live" was their belief, and they eagerly awaited the arrival of the defenders to satisfy their hunger.

"I gave you the chance to prove yourself to me, despite what you did to me in the past. But now you've only confirmed you're a monster. It is over between us!" Her words slammed into me, shaking me to my core. My eyes lit up in shock, I couldn't get myself to say another word. The weight of what I heard left me speechless. Then she walked away, and slammed the door behind her, leaving me rooted to my spot in total bewilderment. What do I do? I dropped to my knees as tears rolled down my cheeks, all I heard were her last words that kept replaying in my head. 'A Monster' 'It's over! It's OVER!'
