I asked, turning to the other woman, who pulled down her hood. She was glowing a soft white, and her skin was the color of the moon, her eyes pitch black. She wore a thick silver crown that bore the different cycles of the moon. The full moon at the front of her head, “It’s been some time since I have seen you, child.” The woman’s voice was echoed, a mix between a man’s and a woman’s voice. “You’ve grown so much… I can’t wait to see you lead our people into the era of the light and out of the era of darkness.” “What do you mean? I’m dead?”

She didn’t know about that. “She…” Her mother’s breath hitched, “she tied him to the moon. Just him though. He won’t be able to roam the earth as a human for two weeks straight. He would be trapped in his wolf form, with no hold on his humanity, for every first two weeks of the month” A breath of relief left Shirley in a rush.
