he snapped, rattling his fists impatiently. “I—” I stammered. “What?” he barked, furrowing his eyebrows, getting up on his feet, and stepping closer to me. I backed away from him slowly, feeling my eyes well with tears. “I can’t do this,” I croaked. The corners of his mouth formed into a frown, and he was no longer smiling. He looked pissed off, angry… Almost dangerous. I didn’t know what was wrong with me today. I was doing nothing my boss was asking of me.

“I– I didn't,” He cuts me off sharply. “You had just one job, sit your ass down and wait for instructions but no, you'd rather throw your sluty self into his arms, how–,” I didn't let him finish before I snapped. “I didn't do anything!” I say in a near scream, forgetting he's my boss. Like heck, I really do not care right now, the regret can come later. I can tolerate any form of ill treatment from him, the insults, the overtime workload but certainly not this kind of disrespect.

As soon as the door is clear I get out of there, but my boss follows me. If he tries to give me money again to make me forget what I just saw, I'm going to be offended. I wait for him to say something for a couple of seconds, but he doesn't, he just stares at me like he's the one waiting for something, until my nerves explode. "What?" I snap, making him raise his eyebrows in surprise. I've never spoken to him with that tone before, but it's his own fault. "Nothing, just... enjoy your day, Andy," he says. If this had happened before all this mess, those words would have made me happy for a whole week.

Something snapped inside of me at his words and arrogant attitude, and my words escaped my lips before I could process them through my brain. “So, what I want doesn’t matter to you at all?” I snapped at him. I knew that he was the big boss, but I didn’t agree with his method of forcing people to do things against their will. I gasped in shock after I said those words, thinking that it must have offended him. However, those words seemed to have the complete exact opposite effect on him because his smile only widened. Then he started laughing loudly.

That bastard got the guts to tell me to stay out of what? Why did he say that in a calm tone, it’s so unlike him. “The hell are you talking about? Haven’t you caused her enough pain, this is not your company and I swear I will hit you if you dare touch her again!” I was so brave I forgot that I was actually yelling at my boss. He was shocked at my statement, I noticed there were tears on his cheeks too. What the hell happened between these two?

I snapped at him. Murmurs erupted in the room after I snapped at him. They seemed to not like how I spoke to him. "Like I was saying!" I yelled, getting their attention. This wasn't good. "What kind of a leader are you?" Another man spoke up, giving me same look the lady gave me.

I say holding back my tears, sounding furious with her, I was extremely frustrated with her. "He asked to see my best, you knew from the day you started to work for me, injured or not, we always do our job," she yells at me, she actually yelled at me, that bitch. "Fuck you bitch," I say ending the call with my boss, if it was any other boss I would have expected to receive a layoff letter tomorrow morning in my mail, but it's Thalia, she's smiling and happy about what just happened which made me even angrier at her, I wanted her to be hurt and insulted but she's not.

How could someone like this even be hired at Joyful Success, especially as a department head? I slapped him so hard that the sound echoed in the office. As soon as I realized what I’d done, I froze.
