The Reluctant Alpha
Isis smiled as I slipped the ring on her finger.
The rose gold cluster marquise diamonds around a hexagon blue sandstone ring looked as good as I imagined on her finger. I stood up, pulling her into a kiss, suddenly aware of how public this was as I heard howls, whistles, and applause.
We laughed, pulling back from the kiss to see everyone, except my mother, happily celebrating our engagement. I didn’t see Ceila at first, but then I saw the retreating back of her red jacket.
I wouldn’t let her dampen my mood. I don’t need her. I have Isis, I have my sister, and I have my pack. And now I get to look forward to planning a wedding and making Isis my wife legally.
