Mysterious Writing Prompts Novels & Stories

It started just a few hours ago when I mistakenly stumbled upon a hidden door in the room, Something about it is very mysterious, in fact, everything about it is mysterious. My thoughts raced as I tried to unravel the secrets that lay behind that door. What could be hidden there? Was it a forgotten treasure trove, filled with untold riches and ancient artifacts? Or perhaps it held a portal to another realm, where magic and wonder coexisted? That's impossible, my imagination is just going overboard at this point, I couldn't wrap my head around the possibilities, and it gnawed at me relentlessly.

It’s been months, maybe years, since I’ve written anything substantial. But this morning, as the soft light filters through the window, I feel the urge returning strongly. I rise from the armchair and pick up my phone, sitting at the kitchen counter. The device isn’t ideal for writing, but it’s what I have at hand right now.

Closing the door once I was out I pressed the alarm button on the key’s walking towards the stairs leading towards the front door. Stopping on the first step, something kept telling me to go around back. Making my way around the side of the house walking on the path made across the grass. My curiosity is starting to stir up and there’s something that pushes me to explore and explore. So I got up and started looking for things that I may have needed when time called. The blinding sight of the broken pieces of the mirror made me lose my control, and I started panicking as soon as I saw a reflection of someone behind me. It has a monstrous face and has mysterious and scary eyes that are staring at me like it’s ready to gobble me up if I flinch. The soles of my feet were glued together due to the different emotions invading my mind. I couldn’t move. I can’t shout. I rumble words that are eager to be free from my mouth. My throat is dry, and it’s even harder to breathe even though

I ordered and hurried to my room. I closed the door behind me and tried to summon the fire related powers in me. But the silent whispers interrupted me and I almost groaned in response. What's happening? Is this some sort of telepathy or what? That sounded like Daisy's voice. "Mom Megan!" I heard the silent whisper again. Damn! I must be going crazy. Even though it sounded more like Daisy's voice, she wouldn't try this method of communication with me. We're just few steps away from each other so why would she want to use this method of communication?

Describe the weirdest thing you noticed this week. Write one thing you would fix about the world. Interview someone older than you. Document a mystery. Create a map of somewhere important to you. I wanted them to learn observation. Reflection. Creativity. Also selfishly? I wanted pieces of their minds preserved somewhere forever. Eli pointed dramatically at the journals like he had just uncovered political corruption. “She did it again.” Ava gasped softly this time.

I watched the moon silently and I felt these weird connections to it. “Who is there?” I looked around when I heard the rustling of leaves. I went over to check whoever it was but there was nothing. Goosebumps creeped over my body as I felt eyes on me but I was alone. The hair in my body stood up as a sign of danger,my eyes fell to the dark shadow I was seeing. “Show…yourself!” I said in a panicked voice.
