They placed the skull right next to Aylin’s suspended form, and the air around them immediately began to pulse with dark energy.

Dark empty eyes looked straight at them. More bones were scattered everywhere. Ribs, arms, fingers, carpals and metacarpals... a lot of them Lani's torch shook in her hand. Then she let out her own share of scream. Moro jumped up so fast he almost fell again. And in a splitting second, they ran.

The sanctuary. Relief surged through me. I took a step forward. The ground trembled. At first, I thought it was an earthquake. But then the bones around me began to move. A single skull turned, its hollow sockets glowing faintly. Another followed. And another. Bones clicked and slid into place, forming massive shapes that rose from the earth with eerie grace. Within moments, I was surrounded by skeletal wolves, their ribs gleaming like silver in the mist. Terror rooted me where I stood.

Evil Doll shrieked, "No one will come to save you this time! Feel the terror of death!" As soon as the words fell, Evil Doll soared into the air. The black mist around it instantly condensed into a massive black skull, its eyes glowing red and its gaping maw exuding a soul-chilling aura. Seeing this, Amelia pushed off with her toes and ran to the other side. The skull did not stop, continuing to pursue her relentlessly. She halted, her gaze icy cold. Leaping into the air, she pinched a golden needle between her fingers and struck the skull with precision. Instantly, the skull glowed and dissipated completely.
