A light-blue-colored shield appears around the griffin, and when the guards shoot, their bullets literally get crushed to dust when they hit the shield. Then out of nowhere, something flew towards my face, and before I could even think about what to do my body immediately bent dogging the creature. Jumping off the tree trunk I made a run for it, behind me I heard the creature let out a scream. As I jumped over rocks, I could hear the flapping of winds start to become louder. Looking back I saw

"It has an eagle's head and wings but it's body , it's a lion's body. What kind of creature is this?" It's my first time to see such creature and I can't hide the fact that I'm nervous. I felt my heart beating so fast. Leanna run towards us carrying her sword. "It's a mythical beast called Griffin. I've never seen one before but according to the books I've read, it has the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion. It's literally the same with this creature we're seeing now. So I'm sure it's a Griffin!" Leanna explained while panting.

Baron whose back was facing me turned around, the sight of his glowing eyes came into my view than the Griffin that walked and stood beside him. The creature's body tail and back legs were of a lion; The head and wings were of an eagle and the eagle's talons as its front feet. It looked at me, more likely inspected for any upcoming danger but it found none I saw the blue glowing in its eyes fading. Unlike every other griffin Baron's griffin did reside in his body, it was born with him and that gave him superior control over the powers he had. He was born with the abilities that differed him from every other Griffin.

Griffins live in the mountains.” “I already sent Griff to ask his kind if it would be already for the shadow beings to live with them.”, I answered. “Who’s Griff?”, a guy asks. “The griffin that Jess was on.”, I state.

I stopped against the Alpha's body when a shrill roar echoed in the maze; the ground trembled as if something gigantic was coming our way. "Yali…" the Alpha said between his fangs. “Let's go this way!” He pushed us down another path in the labyrinth, and we ran following him until I noticed the walls closing in with shadowy arms trying to grab us. “CURSE!” roared King Lycan. “Alright, I'll distract the Yali; you guys keep following the blood trail.” “What is this creature?” I asked, confused. “It's a giant griffin; it usually tends to be protective... Everything indicates that our direction was correct and that it is guarding the place!” explained the young wolf.

“What are those?” “Griffins,” Rhaenan replied with a smug grin. “Faerie's solution for when we’re too lazy to fly ourselves.” He snickered, clearly amused with himself. “They’re a bit underrated, though,” he added as he sauntered over to one of the griffins, patting its sleek, feathered side. “Meet your ride.” I blinked at the creature, its sharp eagle-like eyes watching me, wings rustling in the breeze. “I’m not getting on that thing.”
