~LUCAS~ Sleep refuses to come. I lie flat on my back on the narrow bed in my tiny apartment room, staring up at the ceiling that looks exactly the same as it did three hours ago. The same slow-moving ceiling fan rotating above my head. The same sunlight pushing through the thin curtains and landing across my face like it’s personally determined to keep me awake. I drag a tired hand down my face. God. Why can’t I sleep? My body feels exhausted. My brain feels like it has been running a marathon since last night.

Not that dinner was something that I wanted to partake in, anyway. My appetite was almost non-existent and I was trying to drift my mind away from the nausea that was suffocating me. I tried to close my eyes to get some sleep but the sleep wasn't coming no matter how much I willed it too. I tossed and turned around on my bed because I was beyond tired and exhausted. And yet as the clock ticked by, it was impossible to drift back into sleep. I adjusted into a sitting position, and I was almost tempted to angrily toss the pillows to the floor.

My mouth watered at the sight. I shared mine first and dug in. I still felt a little tired because I didn't get as much rest last night. I kept tossing and turning until I eventually fell asleep. Sometimes I think that my mind, also has a mind of its own. I will be wanting to do one thing but it just doesn't let me.

I am weak right now and we have training tomorrow I have to get some sleep that might help in regaining my strength but I can't sleep no Matter how hard I try I just can't, even sleeping pills don't work anymore. I sighed collapsing on the bed and just closing my eyes maybe if I keep them shut for long I would fall asleep, suddenly a knock came from my door, instead of checking who it was I stood up and grabbed an airpod from my bag I connected it to my phone before I put it in my ears.

He groaned. "It's four in the fucking morning and I haven't gotten a wink of sleep despite having been working all day yesterday and I have tried literally everything to fall asleep," He grumbled in frustration, Nicole wrapping her arms across his chest and resting her chin on his shoulder. "I stopped coffee at 6, even took a warm bubble bath, tried working out to tire myself, did meditation and yoga, counted fucking sheep, and still I can't bring sleep to come,"
