One Night for the Lifetime

One Night for the Lifetime

Anyways, our night ended at around 11pm and we went to our respective rooms to sleep, after cleaning the living area that was filled with the pizza boxes. The morning came of my day, when I will be officially becoming the assistant to the business tycoon, playboy and handsome and a PERVERT, Mr Richard Matthews. Yup, from now on, it will be me, him and Ms Dawson. No no, scratch that. It will be him and Ms Dawsone making my life a living hell.

THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

(Elisa’s POV) I loved how my life turned out. One minute, I was lying beside the road with a bullet wound from people I thought were my friends, and here I was living a life of crime and loving it. I looked at my watch, realizing how late I was to get to the restaurant, and said, “I have to go. I need to run the books for my bar and restaurant.” I turned to Lorenzo and asked, “Are you coming?” I asked since he had insisted on tagging along.

He realized, despite not being a video gamer himself, it was the game Lacey was playing when Janice last saw her alive. It was called The House of the Dead.

Used by my billionaire boss

Used by my billionaire boss

--- Present Leon raced to the hospital pharmacy, his phone buzzing with updates. The stock market crash. Board members resigning. He ignored it all. “I need flumazenil,” he demanded. The pharmacist frowned. “That’s for benzodiazepine overdoses.” “Now!” --- Past Adriana woke in a sterile room, IV in her arm. Leon slept in the chair beside her, his suit wrinkled. For a moment, she’d felt a flicker of hope. *He stayed.*

All Over Again, My Dear Dark Alpha

All Over Again, My Dear Dark Alpha

I wanted more but I couldn’t ask. My pride didn’t allow me to ask for more. I didn’t feel worthy of it. The drugstore was open. It was around five in the evening. I expected people inside but it was only the same pharmacist. “You came back again. Did you join any pack?” “No,” I managed to say in a low voice. I was breathing quickly and every movement my body made exerted a toll on my body. “Please. I need the Adagoril. Just one pill. Please.”

My Brother's Bestfriend

My Brother's Bestfriend

Finally, her gaze landed on it: the morning-after pills she had taken the day after that night. Her eyes widened. They were expired. “What!!!” Storming out of her apartment, she headed straight for the pharmacy where she had bought the pills. “An expired drug?!” She slammed the box on the front desk, glaring at the young attendant. The girl hadn’t even been the one to serve her, but Nica didn’t care. “Ma’am, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” the girl stammered, clearly intimidated by Nica’s fury. “This godforsaken pharmacy just ruined my life!” Nica roared. “How could you sell me expired pills? I’m pregnant… do you know what that means?!” she yelled again, drawing the attention of oth

My Mate Rejected Me For His Girlfriend

My Mate Rejected Me For His Girlfriend

"They grow so fast." The conversation continued pleasantly, a welcome distraction as the line inched forward. By the time Grace reached the counter, Lucas had grown restless, squirming in my arms as I juggled my prescription slip and insurance card. "It'll be about twenty minutes," the pharmacist informed me after reviewing the prescriptions. "These are speciality compounds." "Thank you," I said, adjusting Lucas on my hip. "We'll wait." Rather than return to the line area, I wandered the store aisles, pointing out items to Lucas to keep him entertained. The dizziness hit me as I turned down the baby products aisle—a sudden spinning sensation that made me grab the nearest shelf for support.

THE HOMELESS BILLIONAIRE

THE HOMELESS BILLIONAIRE

I walked through it which the petty trader described for me, as I saw the pharmacy store. The nurse was already closing up, probably because it was almost the middle of the night and this place is a bad place at night. Wherever this place is. "I need drugs," I started as a way of greeting. The woman stared at me. Her lips turned down disapprovingly. She's probably seeing a drunkard or a beggar. The worst would be if she thinks I'm a madman out of the asylum. "It's way past closing time. As you can see I'm locking up...come back another time." She said carefully.

Wow… I loved the Alpha King’s Hated Slave and then decided to give this one a try… what a wonderful read. I love how all the characters grew through their suffering. This book shows so beautifully how true family is sometimes the ones we chose for ourselves and not the ones we were born into.
