Nightshade Forsaken นิยาย & เรื่องราว

said Lydia as she joined on the seat on the balcony. It must have been past midnight. The night was still young. The moon was out, brighter, giving light to the stars. Even though the moon brightened the sky, I felt darkness hugging me. I felt like my heart was drowning. As I stared blankly at the sky, Lydia interrupted the moment, "I hope you don't mind talking about the horrible dream that got you up at this wee hour." As much as I wanted someone to be there for me, I didn't want to talk about anything or to anyone.

"Look what we have here?" The one with chocolate hair and brown skin chuckled like a maniac. "The Forsaken Alpha's bride..." I could've sworn that my blood drained out of my body when I saw their fangs...

Utilizing the North’s intelligence network, Damian quickly pinpointed her in a remote town abroad. She was brought back to the Shadow Pack and faced judgment for deceit and betrayal. Ultimately, she was banished to the western wastelands, never to set foot back in the territory again. At the mating banquet, Damian took me to the terrace, our backs facing the dazzling night sky and serene snow peaks. “Fay, I’m not your fated mate, but I swear on my life to love you, protect you, and make you the happiest Luna under the stars.” Damian held me from behind, his voice husky but tender.

I approached the pedestal, heart racing, while Damien stood a few paces behind me, his expression unreadable. I hesitated, then reached out and opened the tome. The pages were filled with intricate symbols, archaic text, and sketches of creatures that defied explanation. As I skimmed the pages, I began to piece together a narrative of balance and chaos—a tale of an order that had sought to harness the raw forces of creation and destruction. The text spoke of a “Chosen Vessel,” a being who would carry the mark of the Forsaken and become a conduit for ancient power. It described a ritual of transformation, a dangerous process that could either elevate a mortal to near-divine status or condemn

For a moment, the whole yard seemed to vanish; it was only me and the thing before me. “Daughter,” it rasped, each syllable clawing at my ears. “Daughter of light… and shadow. She calls you.” “No,” I whispered, stepping forward despite Darius’s grip. The air reeked of rot, yet I forced myself closer. “She doesn’t own me.” The Forsaken’s chest rattled with what might have been laughter—or simply air tearing through ruined lungs. “She will.” The final word hung in the air like a curse. Then, before anyone could react, the thing convulsed and collapsed, falling into the mud with a sound too heavy for something so hollow.

“And if you stall me, they’ll be the least of your problems.” “Threats already?” she chuckled, but it was dry. “I had almost forgotten your charm.” She turned, reaching for the shelves that climbed the wall behind her. Her fingers, gnarled but steady, skimmed over jars and tins, bottles sealed with wax, bundles of herbs dried to dust. “Nightshade it is” she said, pulling down a black-glass jar. “One wrong breath and it paralyzes the lungs. One pinch too much, and the heart stops cold. You’re welcome”

I whispered, "look at me." When he did, I saw the truth in his eyes— the fear he was trying to shield me from. "You already knew," I breathed. He exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. "I found something too." From the folds of his cloak, he pulled another scroll, this one bound in black ribbon. The words were different but no less damning: "The firstborn of the Nightshade Alpha and his fated mate shall yield great power—but it shall return to the witches, or doom shall follow."

Rex tries to reassure her as she continues to blame herself. “What did you mean that he wasn’t playing around? Where would Nate have even found it?” “Deadly Nightshade is a poison that can be harmful to many creatures. There are only a few who can consume it without serious consequences. The man that stabbed you, ensured it would latch on to your organs. He wanted you dead. As to where he came in to possession? I do not know."

“The apothecary has secured the moon salt and ward crystals. We’re ready to leave for the airfield.” “Good,” I glanced toward him. “Make sure the crystals are sealed in iron boxes. I don’t want their magic weakening before we reach—“ I stopped as a strange scent had reached me. It was sweet at first, almost like crushed flowers, but underneath it was something rotten. Nightshade. Black blood magic. My Lycan stirred immediately. A low growl rumbled in my throat, and my navy eyes darkened. “Stay back,” I ordered, my guards immediately went still. I stepped out from beneath the awning and into the rain.

But my biggest regret of all was telling him the exact same day he lost Sienna. When she came looking for Lucian, desperate to talk to him only moments after he had fled, and told us what had happened… it completely dismantled any remaining stilts holding our lives up. I gently pull away from Dominic, feeling entirely uncomfortable in my own skin as my wolf, Alex, howled her torment deep within my soul. I’d known something was deeply wrong that night. I saw the dead look in my son’s eyes, those eyes that were just a little darker than my own. I’d seen the fractured crystals, the silent plea for help that was presented in the form of a frame dripping in blood.
