The triplets stirred, blinking up at me in quiet awe. And then the air shifted. Shadows curled like smoke—dark, menacing. And from them, he emerged. The Shadow Knight. "You will not leave this place," he growled, his black fire blade pulsing with hatred. I stood slowly, letting the magic rise from my skin like heat. My eyes met his.
