I can’t get a read on you.” I asked, worried as she quickly checked her email searching for something specific. “The Hunger Moon.” Sarael held her phone up to a picture of an old parchment. I assume it’s something she was sent by one of the Qadir brothers at the guild. “What is special about the Hunger Moon? It occurs every February. It’s just the name for the full moon.” I furrowed my brow taking her phone as I tried to read the faded archaic Latin written on the parchment below the image of the moon.

The once full blood moon is starting to become a waning gibbous. I always preferred a waxing gibbous. My chest is tight and it feels as if something is trying to claw its way out. I look away from the window and instead sit on my bed and stare at the ceiling. I barely slept because of the strange feeling.
