Once Rejected Novels & Stories

Caleb turned to Declan, and Declan shuddered, taking a step back. “And you, Declan, you’d better accept it, and no half measures this time. Clearly you interfered with the process during my visit.” Declan and I both nodded. “I, Luka Shaw, reject you, Declan Shaw, as my mate. I reject the mate bond and sever it completely. I am not your mate, nor are you mine.” I looked at Caleb for approval, wondering if there were other words I should add, in case that could make a difference. He nodded his assent with affection in his eyes, as if he was telling me it would all be okay.

He exclaimed, and Yoori punched him in the stomach. "Seriously?" She asked, fuming with anger. "Hasn't he heard the part where my own parents rejected me?" She mumbled inwardly as she walked away from him. Stupid Jas had only heard that her fiance had rejected her, not anything else. "Miss Yoori!" "Are we going or not?" Her assistant, Kelvin, called her after he had seen them standing outside the hotel for about half an hour. "Of course we are." "What makes you think we are not going?" She asked him. She tried to open her car door, but Jas pulled her back.

Ariane’s POV "Sorry, I can't. Go now." I felt disgusted having to be held by Leon even though he argued that he wanted to touch my stomach. I saw Leon leaving me and then invited my lawyer to sit down together. "How is it, sir?" "Well, everything has been approved in the trial earlier. Mr. Leon has also signed everything and he just agreed." I looked at the files shown by my lawyer. All my demands were approved without any resistance from Leon. I will receive money from him every first of the month.

The deal didn't fall through due to a tie, which means the offer was rejected and the acquisition did not go through. Patricia's expression turned gloomy, and she said, "Let's put this on hold for now and revisit it in a week to vote again." Robert spoke up, his voice firm. "No, a deadlock means the offer is turned down, it's right there in the company’s rules. We can't vote on the same proposal more than once." “Unless circumstances change,” Patricia argued. Avalon shook his head, a sense of finality in his voice. "We won't go for it," he said. "The board has already turned down Vincent's proposal, it's a done deal."

“Well, honestly, since you’re a vampire and don’t belong to a pack, I’m not exactly sure how it works. I can confirm with Adrian. But typically, you would say something like ‘I, Onyx Ventrel of the Ventrel coven, reject you, whatever his full name and pack name is. It’s important names and titles are used because rejection is unique to two individuals. So is that what you did?” Rage took over me. No, that was not what I did. The absolute bastard. He intentionally withheld that information. He sat there and allowed me to look like a fool knowing I meant to reject him, knowing that my words had done nothing. Did that mean my rejection had not been officiated? If that was true, he had stayed aw

“It was rejected, sir.” Aidan's expression shifted from excitement to disbelief. "What?” Marcus wiped his forehead nervously. “It was specifically rejected by the CEO of Everhardt Corporation.” Aidan was stunned. “Gina McClure? But how…" “It was the new CEO, sir,” Marcus clarified, visibly tense under Aidan's glare. Aidan grabbed Marcus's collar, his frustration boiling over. "Who is it?”

Soren is looking at the table in the way he looks at things that have moved him and that he is not going to perform a reaction to because he is Soren. Bastien is watching me. "Your father," he says. He is going to find out within hours, I say. The rejection is a public record. He will read it. I pause. Vane's strategy is finished. There is no path back to a statutory review through Vane's arguments now. The rejection is documented and the grounds are published and any future attempt to revisit the statute has to contend with the fact that a committee already considered and rejected the safety argument. He is out of external mechanisms, Bastien says.

she says, her tone leaving no room for argument. We approach the board. A crowd has already gathered, a sea of faces searching the parchment, their expressions ranging from jubilation to despair. My heart sinks. I see the ginger guys name, scrawled in Goran's harsh script. Rejected. A wave of cold washes over me. He was so strong. If he didn't make it... my eyes scan frantically past the lists of names. Accepted. Accepted. Rejected. It's a brutal, final verdict. Then I see it. My own name. Next to it is the single, stark word…

'Miss Lewis, we do have our supplier with all the kinds of stuff you are offering," Denver resisted in a businessman manner without emphasizing she failed to entice him. She reiterated all her reasons but it only made me lethargic listening to her. I couldn't hold myself from yawning. I was rude about that but I did not care. "Ara, what can you say about Miss Lewis's proposal?" Denver steered to me and I followed the flow. I told her the same thing that we didn't need an additional supplier because we got all we need with our tenured provider. She negotiated on lowering their prices but it wasn't in our interest to engage with them. "Miss Lewis, my fiancee already decided on the matter. I ho

I gave him a sad smile hoping he wouldn't be upset. "Sheesh, here I was trying to approach you and find a way to tell you I just wanted to be friends too. The reason for it is I have been feeling a slight pull to someone but I don't know if it's there because we haven't completed the rejection," he replied while rubbing the back of his neck. Without hesitation, " I, Lilith Conner, of the Silver Moon Pack accept your rejection, Silas Morgan, as my mate."
