Ramsy boasted. Delta Ramsy mustered little heed to Higgins' pitiful state as the spat to the soon to-be corpse in his wake. Hunters were members of the resistance, who were mostly humans that had their only goal to be liberating their people and domineering the greater mass of carnivorous beast that desired to usurp any attempts they made to establish a system like theirs or breed enough to try. Higgins' life was dangling on a thin thread, his hands laid across the two ends of the baracade by chains anchored to his wrists and a weakened resolve from that death that just insisted on taking its time before truly drawing the life out of him.

These hunters had trained their entire lives to fight werewolves. Not Kitsunes. Not spirits that wielded living fire. Harlan Dawson pushed through the confusion, drawing his silver sword. "Hold your ground!" he roared. "Don't break formation!" Some obeyed. Many didn't. A hunter loosed a silver arrow. Homura caught it between two fingers without even looking. Her eyes slowly shifted toward him. In that moment, he wished they hadn't. She flicked her wrist and the arrow shot back faster than it had come. It struck the hunter's shoulder, throwing him onto his back.

They instinctively looked down. Then everyone froze. The pink, suggestive interface of "Goddess Hunter" disappeared. It was replaced by a cold black interface that looked like a tombstone. At the center of the screen, the photo of me that had been treated as prey vanished too. In its place was Gary's face, twisted with shock. Under his photo, blood red words slowly appeared. [New game activated, Scumbag Hunter.] [Target: Gary Zachary York.] A cold, emotionless synthetic voice came from everyone's phone at the same time.

They stopped before me, the engines coming off one after the other. Henrique Crimson Sparrow took off his helmet, his short strawberry blonde visible under the full moon's light. He had a scar running down his chin. He smiled, stepping off his bike. “You nuts have a death wish, Xavier? Coming here alone?” I smiled back, a cold smile devoid of any humor. “Who says I’m alone?” Henrique Crimson Sparrow looked confused, and looked around the space. Henrique followed my movements with his eyes. Then, the forest came to life.

Xander gasped the way a surprised lady would have while Hunter gloated, trying his best to hold back a laugh. "For once, someone finds you not attractive, maybe that would help reduce your ego." Oscar said as he joined us, I greeted him and he responded with a nod. I could tell from the sudden look of alertness on Xander's face that he wanted to give a report, but Oscar expertly shut down that party by speaking first. "So, I have good news and bad news." He said as opening to the information he had to pass, "You can't leave tonight." He said and Hunter nodded like it was only natural. I looked from Hunter's face to Oscar, my face a picture of anguish.

INTRODUCTION My name is Kacela. I am twenty-one years old, and I am a werewolf hunter. And I have a secret. I am a werewolf. I was raised in a family of werewolf hunters. My father, mother and older brother are all werewolf hunters, and I made my first kill when I was twelve years old. I am trained in weaponry and hand to hand combat as well as other skills that I use in the field, like tracking. I’m also exceptionally good at finding werewolves who don’t want to be found using a variety of techniques, but mostly common sense and computer skills.
