Page Numbers Book Novels & Stories

I'd been reading it a lot lately, desperate to find answers. I flipped through the pages, noticing something odd for the first time. A page was missing. Ripped out, to be exact. I blinked hard, bringing the inside spine of the book closer so I could properly inspect. I hadn't been seeing things. The paper left on the page was uneven, an indication that someone had torn a page out. Why would someone do that? I scanned the surrounding pages, trying to make sense of the missing section. It seemed to be a crucial part of the book, detailing werewolf lore, ancient rituals and witch potions.

While other shelves were numbered at least in integers and Roman numerals including letters according to procession, this one does have a label but… He ran all the way to the last shelf, counted five to left then reached over, 'what is happening? ' oh yeah. To think that I've lost it. ' 'My book sorry books come with me' as he grabbed the whole book once more. 'I need to understand what it is that this book told me yesterday again. I have to open that page...what's the page one more time...yea forty... Fifty-five, that's it, where it was talking about Dulce right and the clue.'

It all looked very interesting. I turned a few more pages. "How far are you with translating?" I asked him, while still running my fingers on the words that continued to give me a funny feeling. I turned to the next page and my breath hitched. "I'm on the 74th page." He answered and I looked down at the page number I was on. Page 501. He still had a long way to go. My face flushed and I couldn't get my eyes off the beast I was staring at. The book had no images with colour, but I could already imagine the creature with bright glowing green eyes. Oh no.

I just felt weakness sweep through me. "Coming?" He asked me as he turned to look behind. "Right behind you." I said to him, We both made our way to the stand where the book was. "Woah, looks like this was left this way since the eighteenth century." He said to me, He was probably right as I noticed how the pages were covered with thick dust. It was really something to behold. "Ready?" He asked as he brought his mouth close to the edge ready to power puff.

The impact made me flinch. “I want you to study that for as long as you are here,” he said calmly. I looked down at the book in my hands. It was old, its cover plain and worn. Slowly, I opened it then frowned. The pages were blank. Every single one. I flipped through them again, my confusion deepening. “I can’t find anything in it,” I said cautiously, glancing up at him before looking back at the empty pages. “There’s nothing written here.” “That’s because you opened the wrong page,” he replied, unfazed.

That scene made me smiled bitterly, I miss the times where don’t have any problems, where father always buy me books, sing for me every night, and read books loudly. I’m at the end of the book when I noticed something, scribbles of letters and words are visible in the last page, I got up and find a pen and a paper, I sat down and flip the pages until I reach the first page, I can’t believe it there are scribbles write down the key words in every pages, hoping that it might help me building my life. The key words that I got are “Book #1- birthday, Photo Album #6- highlighted me, Book #7- Look closely, Photo- the answer to all your doubts” my head hurts reading these clues a lot of books have

The inscription on the drawer read 'staffs only. “The greatest Alpha in the werewolf history.” He read the title out as he did always. Like almost all the books Yugo have him, it was old. This one had a green book cover, a thick book jacket that had began to peel, not the greatest sight. The book had weight. As usual, he opened the last page to know how many pages. It was numbered in Roman numerals so he couldn’t tell how many pages but it was certain that it was over a thousand page.

AURORA Lizra dropped a humongous thing on my lap. “This is a history book with detailed explanations of the most famous and high-ranked Lunas that the territories have ever had. I made some small notes in most chapters and I’m sure you’ll find it useful.” Wait… it’s a book and… was she kidding me? “How many pages is this thing?” I asked, dusting and seeing nothing but the plain shabby leather brown cover of the thickest thing ever.

Stefano asks looking at me amazed. “He used that same pin for everything. It is my birth date” I say, shrugging my shoulders. Now more curious that afraid, I take the book from Stefano and start paging through the worn pages. Nothing in here makes any sense. It is a bunch of numbers scribbled on page after page. “Mind if I have a look?” Stefano asks. “Be my guest. This is all gibberish to me” I say handing the book over to him. Stefano pages through the book, scratching the top of his head, his brows are getting more furrowed by the second.
