The Lycan King's Fearless Little Warrior

Why is he so scared? I tried to think, but my Lycan was too fascinated with the small pup we were currently staking out. The beast let out a low, vibrating growl of interest, which quickly melted into a soft, confused whine when it saw the pup trembling.
Then, the pup fell to his knees in the dirt, looking utterly defeated, before he forced himself back up to leave the clearing.
The Lycan did not like that movement at all. He didn’t want the pup to leave his sight. Against my will, my powerful Lycan legs compressed, and the white beast jumped straight out of the bushes at the fleeing pup.
