Chapter 3 Penelope walked into the village with her head covered ,she was wearing a long regalia and no one could tell her identity . She had to hide what she really was because she knew how much the people hated the witches ,it doesn’t matter if she was an hybrid , she still had that looks of a witch and that didn’t make it different they just wanted her dead at all cost ,the same way that they had killed her Parents and siblings years ago ,that was something that she could never forget no matter how hard it was for her ,she was never going to forget about the cruel way that she had been treated her whole life .

Wilson's eyes darted around the room, searching for a place to conceal themselves from the intruder. "Quickly, behind the wardrobe!" Mrs. Wilson whispered, pointing to the large wooden wardrobe in the corner of the room. Penelope tried to move, but her legs still felt numb and unresponsive. She stumbled, almost falling to the ground. Mrs. Wilson and Yvonne rushed to her side, supporting her weight and helping her to move towards the wardrobe. They squeezed themselves behind the wardrobe, their bodies pressed tightly together. Penelope's heart raced as she listened to the sound of footsteps coming closer and closer to the door. She could hear the intruder muttering something under their breat

Sharon asked in confusion. Penelope sneered and said, “You’re so shameless. I’ll let everyone know about what you’ve done in court later.” After speaking, her gaze landed on the man in the wheelchair. She grew even more disdainful. “How dare you bring him along on an occasion like this?” she asked. Her gaze reflected just how much she looked down on Simon. After all, she thought that he was a boy toy dependent on Sharon’s money. Sharon thought that Penelope’s choice of words was extremely odd. It seemed like Penelope had something that could be used against her in her hands.

In the afternoon, Penelope was sleeping when she suddenly heard someone shouting her name at the door. She opened her eyes and there was no one in the ward. But from the door came Badaire Coman's fierce scolding, "Shoot everyone out of here. If you dare to let them in again, you don't have to do it anymore When Penelope was wondering, Badaire Coman had already pushed open the door and returned. Seeing Penelope wake up, he walked up and said, "Waked up "

To divert attention from the heated topic, another topic of discussion needed to emerge. Penelope, who now worked at Horizon Magazine, quickly reported on nursing home staff mistreating the elderly, successfully overshadowing the gossip about me. I called Penelope specifically to express my gratitude.

With the weight of impending peril still hanging over us, I cast a spell that melted the chains and ropes that surrounds our bodies. "Conrad, Aiden, stay behind me!" I yelled at them which they immediately responded. I cast a protective barrier encircling the three of us. Right in front of our eyes, a few werewolf guardians plummeted to the ground, lifeless. Some of them fought back in the name of the pack and justice, but they were outnumbered. Penelope, in her alpha form, was indestructible. She can even beat five werewolf guardians in one strike. That's how powerful she is. In the hands of the witches, she becomes a ripper.

Nora said when she saw a file in her hands. Penelope pouted sadly. "She is such a bully." She said as they entered the lift. "Oh wow. Now you get it, huh? Too good man!" She said sarcastically. "Now let's go." She said and dragged her towards the parking lot. * "Where are we going?" asked Penelope as they exited the parking lot. "Dinner," she replied. "Very informative." Penelope rolled her eyes. "I know." She chuckled. Penelope leaned in her seat and sighed. "She gave me a hell lot of work to do. And on the weekend!! I mean... who does that?" She whined and kept ranting for the whole fifteen minutes.

I turned toward the window seats, preparing to make my way to my usual spot, when a voice stopped me. “You people must like running your mouths. If you used more of your brain cells than your mouths, the world might actually improve.” Everyone froze. That voice. I turned my head toward the doorway. Penelope leaned against the wall, her black bob tucked behind one ear. A small tattoo peeked out from her neck, and another curled around her wrist. She wore a cropped white top, tiny black shorts, and a bomber jacket. Her arms were crossed, and the look in her eyes could’ve set someone on fire.

Except it wasn't empty. A single figure stood near the exit, silhouetted against the weak exterior lighting, waiting with the patient stillness of someone who'd expected them all along. Marcus's radio crackled again, this time with a voice Ryan recognized instantly from the underground corridor, calm, measured, and utterly without mercy. "Going somewhere, Warden?" Griggs said, stepping fully into the light, flanked by two guards Ryan hadn't even seen until they moved. "You really thought I'd leave the one exit nobody's supposed to use unwatched?"

I pick her up from the ground and hold her in the air with her feet dangling. She simply laughs at my anger. “Do you think the warlock has only one place he is hiding? He is always hiding in plain sight,” Penelope says as she coughs trying to get a breath of air. I toss her against the wall, and she slides down with a smile on her face. “You are all so naïve. You think you are protected. You were never protected,” she says.
