I love it when Jorge smiles at me. We were laughing about my latest pay in Cards Against Humanity. The black card asked us to complete the sentence, “Nothing in life is certain except death and ….” I put “kids with ass cancer.” “Damn girl, you are against humanity,” Jorge joked, laughing like music to my ears. “Sorry, I didn’t have anything else,” I laughed back. Stretch my legs out and Jorge picks them up. He starts rubbing my ankles. “I can’t believe my pregnant sister made that joke,” Solen choked out as he laughed.

I told him and left my cabin. Max also started following me. I was going towards the lift when my eyes fell on a group of people. They were talking to each other instead of working. Anger rose in me. I walked towards them and heard them creating some useless jokes and laughing their ass off. "I didn't know my employees can create these useless jokes in work time. Do I give you payment for creating fucking jokes?" I shouted at them. "We are very sorry Mr. Knight. We will not do this again" One of them told me.

Noah's tone grew comforting, "I'm sorry to hear that. They'll be fine, you know. They love each other." Jemma replied, "Yeah, I hope so." Noah sensed the need to lighten the mood. "Ms. Sampson's villa isn't home for the homeless. They're your parents, aren't they, Felix? Figures. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Ugh, I can still smell the mud on them." Rage flared within my heart, but I held it back and quickly wiped the water off my in-laws. Diane had a short fuse. She would not stand for this insult, so she snapped, "And who are you supposed to be, you uneducated swine? How dare you call Felix a homeless man!" Zack did not hold back. Instead, he pressed on the attack. He picked up a ceramic ornament and hurled it at Diane. I deflected it with my hand, and the ornament grazed me.

I couldn't help it; I let out a snort that turned into a genuine laugh. "That is terrible, Jovan! Seriously, that is a peak corporate dad joke." Jovan laughed along with me, clearly pleased. "Hey, it worked. You’re laughing. You’ve been wound up like a guitar string since yesterday." "A guitar string about to snap?" I teased back. "Close enough," he replied, watching me with an expression that was softer than I’d ever seen. I wiped a stray tear from the corner of my eye. For the first time since the terror started, I felt light. The weight on my shoulders had been lifted, replaced by the simple comfort of a shared meal and a bad pun.

I could literally die if I fuck up more than I’ve been doing…but, I can’t tell him that. “I’m here, okay? No matter what, you have me.” He looks me right in the eye, assuring me tenderly with a smile this time. “But damn, you really do look like shit right now, and when was the last time you used deodorant?” His unconventional joke in my time of sadness makes me break into laughter. It wasn’t funny but it was whatever it was and it makes me laugh. I just needed to laugh. It rolls out of me effortlessly, like everything was with Adam. While I choke on my saliva, he watches me, amused for the duration of my chuckling.

I tell him m with a grunt. “A joke. I understand you're sad that I want to stay away but can you refrain from calling our relationship a joke?" The chuckles turn into full blown laughter. Well someone is happy with women. Why would he not? “You are an idiot." “Okay now you are just jealous." And they laugh again. There is nothing remotely funny about this clown so I do not understand what they keep laughing at. “Can you be serious for once? I need to ask you about something."

That person will turn into a beast, and he’ll only be able to watch, unable to do anything. Until one night, when Harbinger of Doom, the girl in his previous team, suddenly sent Andy a list of 60 hilarious jokes. Andy had been puzzled and nonchalant reading them at first, but as time went on, the jokes began to affect him, and he loosened up. Soon, Andy found himself laughing, and before he realized it, he calmed down and fell asleep. Surprisingly, it happened the next day and the day after. Before Andy realized it, he found himself expecting the jokes more and more. After all, they helped him calm down and forget his sorrow, even if it was for a brief moment.

The voice hurriedly said. "How many of my enemies have you actually killed?" Alec laughed, and for the first time one ever, the person on the other end got another huge surprise. His boss actually laughed over the phone, what's the special occasion? Normally, it was always work and nothing else. His boss loved work, and always told him never to joke with work aspect. “Joke is the opposite of business, so, if you wanna work with me.
