Damian covers his head as he rushes back toward us, his eyes red. “This isn’t normal rain! It burns like hell!” Kael suddenly stops. He stares at the drops landing on a broad leaf beside us. The leaf lets out a faint sizzling sound. Then, small black holes slowly begin appearing across its surface. “Acid rain,” Kael growls. A drop lands on the back of my hand. It feels like a burning needle stabbing my skin. The area turns red and itchy instantly. “Everyone, protect your heads!” Fredrick shouts as he pulls Ash tightly against him. “Hurry, Ash! We need to move faster!”

Nadia POV “Who is she?” Lorenzo asked after we got back home from the hospital where Scarlett had been admitted. The doctor said that She was injected with a sedative and that once it was out of her system, she was going to be alright. I can't believe how close I was to losing Scarlett today due to my foolishness if I had just listened to Lorenzo when he told me not to go out in the morning. It was raining heavily outside with lots of thunder and lightning, and as a result, we got drenched in the rain before we could get into the house. I had changed my clothes and was drying my hair with a towel.

Rumble! Lightning struck, and thunder roared. Pitter-patter! Rain poured from the sky. However, the raindrops were black. Eerily, when the rain made contact with the ground, it seemed to have eroded the soil. The soil gave off a pungent smell. “What?” Thea was stunned. Feeling her face, she realized that there were also water droplets on her skin. She could clearly see that the droplets were black in color. Even as a powerful martial artist, she could feel the corrosiveness of the rain.

Ashes and Rain The rain came softly. Not the storm of anger or judgment, but a gentle, forgiving drizzle that fell from the sky like a sigh of peace. It carried with it the scent of smoke and soil, of endings turned to beginnings. Every drop shimmered faintly, catching the red light of the Blood Moon until the whole valley seemed to glow from within. Lyra stood beneath the rain, her hair plastered against her skin, her eyes glimmering with tears she didn’t bother to hide.

I don’t have enough space for all my books...” Rosalie tests as she watches him drink the coffee. Tonight she’ll finally know the side effects of the drug. She was perfecting a new poison – a clear, colourless liquid that, despite its innocent appearance, held the power to bring even the strongest man to his knees. Or that’s what she had planned. It was a potent brew, a blend of rare botanicals and powerful toxins, a testament to her years of studying the dark arts of chemistry and toxicology.

Rain and her friends were dragged to the overturned cauldron of poisoned soup. Their faces were forced into the thick, scalding liquid — held under until they nearly drowned, then yanked back up to gasp. The surge of Origin-Code hit my brain like a freight train. I didn't project a Phase-Shield to protect the city. I inverted the projection. I fed the raw, chaotic sub-ether frequency directly into the localized gravity of the courtyard outside. "Executing protocol: Neon Rain," I whispered, blood dripping from my nose. Outside, the air above the plaza suddenly shimmered. It began to rain. But it wasn't water. It was liquid Origin-Code glowing, iridescent blue droplets of sub-ether energy.

She continued to blow more mist toward us. I didn't realize that the mist was highly acidic; it melts my hair instantly as soon as it made contact. My hair layer becomes thinner and thinner. Soon after, the poison entered the last barrier, which poisons Noah and me immediately. I feel immense pain scatter throughout my body and at the same time, I become paralyzed. As for Noah, his body slowly turns to violet… ***

Pleaded Grace. “Now, why don’t you tell me what actually happened?” Tony said gently. “I saw the waiter put Abrin in your drinks and I had to act quickly to stop you from drinking it!” Grace sobbed. “Abrin?“ Tony asked “It is a poison that is tasteless and causes heart failure. I learnt about it in tropical toxicology, “ Grace explained. Tony quickly looked around and signalled to Hank, who came running. “ Hank, the waiter Grace ran into was trying to poison me with Abrin. Get your men to search for the waiter and to escort Grace home” Tony said his voice full of authority. Hank quickly got on the radio and started barking orders.
