Poisoned Honey Novels & Stories

Behind the rich aroma of the elderberry and the cloves, there was something else, very faint but noticeable, like the cold and alkaline smell of the stagnant water in the caves running over the lead. Marrow-bane. The poison produced only in the dark crags of the mountains. Tasteless. Scentless to a normal person. But it smells as bad as a dead carcass left in the hot day for a Nullifier core to sense the forbidden magic. A clear, cold vision appeared before me. Kael had left me on the terrace full of regret and confusion. Draven was unconscious behind me. But in an hour somebody had managed to enter the royal dispensary and put the undetectable neurotoxin on my tray.

The red liquid inside swooshes with the movement. I stare at it with growing dread. “Mae had been switching your bottles.” Brittany says casually. “Since she’s gone, I’ll have to handle it myself.” I look at her shocked. “What do you mean switching them?” “The poison you’ve been giving Jude wasn’t the same one I originally gave you.” What? No. That’s impossible. I was careful. Every single time I used the perfume, I checked how much remained in the bottle. Brittany watches my expression and smiles faintly. As of hearing my thoughts, she says.

She thought to herself shakily. Alex frowned deeper as he continued to inhale the wound. "Lemon," he muttered as he breathed in. "Bleach. And..." He hesitated. He sniffed again. "...Honey?" He looked at her, now so confused. "Why does your blood smell like honey and ozone?"he asked her, still confused as to why. "Ooh, it's the fertilizer!" Zara blurted out so fast. "From the roses! I was holding the stem earlier, you know, before I cut myself. It's uh... a special organic fertilizer, one that is Honey-based." she added.

Gerber pushed her sleeves up while marching to the door. Atlas tried to stop her violent moves but she left before we could even react. I ran up to the two, behind Atlas who seemed too calm for what is happening. I almost died! How did that even got there? "It's a type of poison that doesn't react to any vampires. It's the Helsing syrup. It's made from the roots of a helsing plant which can be found only in the palace grounds..." Atlas explained it to me as we turned to a different hallway. She continued," This type of poison is invisible. It doesn't reveal itself through any tests... I'm a bit worried... or should I say, I am quite amazed that it revealed itself. "

It's a type of toxin developed by the Toxic Hive. Avery gritted his teeth in anger. "The Toxic Hive again!" Olivia found it quite coincidental as well. After all, her background had something to do with the mastermind in Toxic Hive. The Fordhams were involved with the Toxic Hive, and even Ethan's sister was involved as well. Could this all be part of someone's plan? "The poison is like alcohol. You don't feel drunk at first, and it slowly seeps into your organs. "By the time you notice it, you're already wasted, and it'll be too late by then.

something I couldn’t name? Finnian had been busy, digging into the past, tracing the poison that had killed Rowan’s heir moons ago. He’d confirmed it hadn’t come from my garden. I’d destroyed every dangerous flower long ago, burned them until even the ashes were gone. My garden was safe enough now for a child to wander through unharmed. A knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. “Come in,” I called. Jared stepped inside, bowing slightly. “Your Highness. Here’s what you asked for.” He held up a small glass bottle of honey, golden in the light.

Lorez seems to notice this and speaks up, “She smells delightful doesn’t she? I researched that your kind are attracted to the scent of melody bee honey from the land of Rashan. I had some imported a few week ago in anticipation.” The man has certainly been busy. I don’t like that he knows such a facts about vampires, but thankfully that is not a fact toward me. The honey is nothing but an enjoyment for me, so at least he won’t have an advantage with the knowledge. I need to be more wary of what he might know though.

The obsidian flower—a colossal, shifting structure of organic glass and silver nectar—loomed ahead, its petals vibrating at a frequency that turned my bones to jelly. Dante was fighting, his human hand clawing at the roots while his obsidian arm threw off erratic, blinding sparks. But the island was winning. This wasn't a tech-war; it was a biological reclamation. The "poison" in our veins was being called back to its source, and we were just the containers being emptied. "Ivy! Release the feedback!" Dante roared, his voice nearly drowned out by the grinding of stone and metal.

The waffles and fried chicken looked so good that one would want to give anything just to have a taste of it. I noticed he dropped his spoon and rubbed his both hands together, smacking his lips at the same time, just when he was about to carry the big chicken placed on the waffles, I stopped him. “That's alright, you can leave now,” I said to him, waving him off with the gun in my hand. A bit of disappointment washed through his face as soon as I said that. There was no way I was going to share my waffles with him. I don't fucking care if it has poison in it or not, I will gladly eat it alongside its sweet poison.

The scent reached me immediately—honey, milk, and butter, with a faint bitter note lurking beneath the sweetness. The poisoned cookie had supposedly been chosen specifically for Marrek. So why was another one here? Something wasn't adding up. I found a physician at once and held out the cookie. "Test this." His eyes widened. "My Luna—" "Now." The single word left no room for argument. Not long after, he returned. His face had gone pale. "This cookie was poisoned too," he said quietly. "With the exact same toxin." A cold realization swept through me. It hadn't been one poisoned cookie.
