Novel & Cerita Polishing The Mirror

They exist in sync, complimenting each other by being in the same space. The floor is marble, impossibly smooth, and every step echoes with a soft grandeur as I move toward a mirror standing tall at the far end, and as I step closer, I see my younger self staring back at me. Small and afraid. The boy I once was, before everything changed. Anger rises in me like a tide, seeing that helpless face, and I clench my fist, smashing it against the mirror. Glass shatters, and the pieces scatter, but as I pull my hand back, the shards float and reform. The mirror mends itself, perfect as before, as if nothing happened. Then, a voice drifts toward me, soft as stardust, calling my name. I turn, and she

Later that night, as darkness enveloped the Mirabella Estate, Autumn found herself transfixed by her reflection in the antique mirror hanging in her room. The glass fogged gently around the edges, but her reflection remained clear and sharp, an eerie contrast. Just as the image began to wane, it revealed a chilling sight—a smile, wide and inexplicable, unfurled across her mirrored self.

"Little brother, what about me helping you with your work? Um....are you making a science project or somethin' like that? Then, I sure can help you." "And I sure you can't," replied Mahone. "How do you know that?" "I am exploring optical illusion. I am trying to make an infinite mirror and of course it's very hard," he continued to speak smugly. "At least I need a few weeks to finish it, because I haven't found all the equipments, like....I bought some plexiglass sheets named polycarbonate. They are good company's, you know. They looked clear in the shop, but when I checked them in my room, they kinda seemed opaque, the hell! I bet the shopkeeper was selling secondhand goods, just showing of

He pulled himself together, and it’s like awakening from a shallow nap. “The pigeon is right, the mirrors here are nothing ordinary,” Cara said. “The thing is evil. It could control your mind.” “And look what happened to the others.” She points to the rest of them. They are still enchanted by what they are seeing in the mirror. “Cara, don’t come close to it. The thing is dangerous,” Van warned when Cara approach the trick mirror that shows his idealized self. Will the mirror shows what Cara wants to become? Yet the mirror only shows Cara’s blurred reflection before going blank.

Mira had scrubbed the same railing three times. She knew because the cloth in her hand was already damp and stuck with polish, and the gold surface in front of her had long begun to reflect her face back at her like a mirror but still, she kept rubbing. Despite her work, her thoughts were louder than the hallway. “Mira!” She jerked slightly at the sharp voice behind her. Greta stood with her arms crossed, irritation etched across her narrow face. “Are you planning to polish that thing until it melts?”

This time you do not pretend you are here to clean. Your eyes move across the room and stop on the large mirror mounted on the far wall. You had noticed it before, but only in passing. Now it holds your attention. The glass is wide and frameless, polished to a dark clarity that reflects the entire space. You walk toward it slowly. Your reflection grows clearer with every step — slightly flushed cheeks, the ordinary clothes you wore for housework, the way your fingers keep curling and uncurling at your sides. You stop a few feet in front of it.

The chamber beyond the arch was circular, walls lined with black obsidian that drank the torchlight. In the center stood a single mirror—tall, ornate, framed in what looked like bone. Its surface swirled with silver mist, refusing to show any reflection. Stephanie clutched Riley's arm, her nails digging in. "I don't want to go first. Please, God, not me." But the mirror had other plans.

She glanced over at the maid standing nearby and urgently said, “Bring me a mirror.” The maid hesitated, then responded gently, “My lady, rest assured, you’re as beautiful as ever. In fact, you’re even more delicate after your illness.” “No, I need a mirror!” Alia insisted with an urgency she had never felt before. Her tone left both the maid and Marcellus slightly taken aback. The “Lady” they knew had always been calm and gentle. Though puzzled, the maid quickly obeyed, bringing over an ornate silver mirror and helping Alia sit up so she could see herself clearly.

I muttered under my breath. On the other side, the mirror rose, tall and commanding, framed in gold. This wasn’t a mirror for beauty but exposure. Brutal, inescapable exposure. I stood straighter, adjusted my cufflink, then tilted my head slightly. The mirror that forced a man to confront who he really was. I admired that.
