I hope that you enjoyed this story. This was one of the first full novels that I wrote. If you have you will also enjoy Across the Desk and the triology that it sparked. it is a dark romance story in which a young woman, Deanna, finds her true love and they forge a bond that not even her insane family can break. The second in the story is Weathering the Storm where their story continues. Then breaking the Eye Wall which they finally find the end of their nightmare together. WEathering the storm is already on goodnovel and Breaking the eye wall will be released in November of 2020.

She had begun to turn into them. “No, no, I can't be one of them. No, I don't want to.” She cried, thinking back to before this apocalypse began. Back to when things were okay. Her family was still alive. Except they had died years back before the apocalypse even began. She was just a lonely girl, who met Ryan and fell in love. Barely conscious and close to turning, Ara dragged herself toward the toxic river near the edge of the city. The black water churned violently below, filled with chemical waste, rotting corpses, blood, and dangerous liquids dumped there after the apocalypse began.

​Vivian walked over to the primary console and brought up the sector map. ​The three-mile weather dome over the northern district was still flashing a stable, brilliant blue. But beyond the dome, the map was a blood-red nightmare. The coastal district was entirely gone, swallowed by fifty feet of black seawater. The commercial sectors were lighting up with critical failure alarms as the toxic gray fog began to dissolve the municipal infrastructure. ​The apocalypse hadn't waited for her thirty-day timeline. The cascade was happening now. ​Suddenly, the secondary monitor in the corner of the console flickered. A sharp, rhythmic ping echoed through the quiet room.

walking into the village, relief, hunger, trust, warmth and healing. Too fast, skin knitting, pain fading and something else slipping beneath it all. A forgetting, names, faces and itself. As much as his mom tried to teach him, Meph gets into all kinds of trouble because he doesn’t know when to back off. Run when the hair on your arm stand up. That’s one of the many survival lessons she taught Meph. But she is no longer in the picture. She left him alone in this merciless, post apocalypse world. At least he won’t suffer the trembling fear when death knocks. Standing calmly in front of the door, Meph waits, an arm’s length away from the malicious voice. Rule number one of the Soul Trial: Everything can be a trial. A question. A conversation. Anything. And just like any trial, there is reward in passing, and punishment in failing.

Andrew and I would be together forever, and the town would recover. Audrey and Ray had been broken, but they had found the strength they needed to fix themselves. The town was broken, but it would be fixed. I was broken, but I would be fixed, with the help of the love of my life. They say that fire always burns, but as the flames sweep away the detritus of the past, new beginnings can spring from the ashes. I smiled. I could feel the seeds of new memories germinating, reaching for the sun.

I need to be comfortable if I am going to collapse. I pick up a new book to read, it is titled Haunting Adeline and it is a dark romance. I start reading the book to pass the time and about twenty minutes later, “Luna, you were right.
