Aurora lay awake for some time in her bed. She had arrived home with enough time to get Eli to bed and bid her mother goodnight. Aurora had decided to take a quick shower before getting into bed. The shower was on the colder side. She could not stop herself from replaying the evening events in her mind. Her body had never felt that way before. In the end, I leave a message on the answerphone saying that Aiden has put a plan into action that might stop the sale, but we won’t know for certain that it’s worked until we see- or don’t see- the results. That still leaves me with most of the morning to fill, so I get out Eddie, and my manuscript paper, to work on my Rhapsody. I should install some music-writing software on my laptop, or get myself a synthesiser. Perhaps I should do both. I do at least have a couple of music theory books that I can refer to for any of the transpositions that I have forgotten in the days since my last formal music exams.

“Yes. That’s exactly what happened. She was just teasing me with some silly dream she had.” Aurora, finally finding her voice, chimed in weakly, “Yeah. A dream. That’s all.” Aaron’s jaw tightened, his skepticism unrelenting. “I don’t believe you.” His glare returned to Aurora, sharper than ever. “Why would you be nervous about a dream? Huh? Tell me that.” Aurora’s mouth opened and closed, no sound coming out. I could feel her unraveling beside me, and I knew I had to take control of the situation before Aaron’s anger boiled over.

' Aurora listened to Megan's song till she fell asleep and drifted to Dreamland. Aurora woke up as early as 6 because she needs to go to the gym.
