Trembling, she forced herself to lie perfectly still; not wanting to alert her captor she was awake. Faidh’s ankle ached. Something felt cold against the bone. It felt metallic; heavy. Her skin felt chaffed and sore under it’s constant pressure. A thick metal ring had been secured against her leg. Chelsea looks like she is trying hard not to panic as the flames shoot up over her head. I jump up and instantly get a dirty look from Elle. She is only allowing me to stay as long as I agree to take it easy while she is working with Chelsea. That being said, watching her create flames or try to cut stuff is not going to work for me so I stand up and walk out to the garden to wait instead. The garden is coming back to life after being abandoned for an extended time. As soon as the witches came back they began sending energy to the plants to help them thrive once again. Being in the garden helps calm me back down after watching Chelsea struggle with the elements.

It was a silent journey and as we walked I reflected on the course of the ship. In the two weeks prior I had flown as instructed to Brazil waited to board the ship docked at the harbor there. Just as I was about to question him how we would tell Eden what our plan was, he nodded towards a tree and when my eyes snapped to it, I finally noticed movement. We stood aside and watched her climb down the tree. When Eden reached us, I barely held back the amused chuckle at the difference of our sizes. If I was smaller than Xabat, Eden looked like a tiny pebble next to us. Xabat leaned down and I followed his example. “Mate, we deal with giants, you go and have fun ripping out throats.” A blinding smile spread across Eden’s lips. She managed to peck our cheeks before she spun on her heel and left us behind.
