Grinned as their jaws split open to accommodate rows of serrated teeth. Andrea's voice ripped through the chaos, ripped through my stunned haze. “Get the humans out of here!” Her command shattered the frozen moment. Reporters scrambled. Protesters ran for the barricades. Council members vanished behind black SUVs. Drones fell from the sky as one of the creatures leapt up and swatted them like flies. The monsters descended on the crowd with brutal, almost mechanical efficiency. I Shifted without thinking. My bones cracked outward with welcome violence. The searing pull of my wolf form tore through me, my muscles ripping and reforming in seconds. My vision sharpened. My rage snapped into focus

I’m a Nine Tailed Fox! The second floor is more my speed there is some more edgy pop, with a bit of rock. The atmosphere reflects the vibe. There are lots of humans and some shark shifters along with a cute little racoon shifter. Racoon shifters, and panda shifters are fairly closely related, but still unique species. A pair of human boys try sandwiching me between them on the dance floor and I ask them kindly to give me space…the silly boys don’t listen. I grab them both by the balls and spin them both until they cry out.

"That sounds nice." "Yea.. I could feel his heartbeat so closely. It was fast. But it calmed me down. I think...that's when I found out I too, had feelings for him." "Oh. You like him?" I chuckled. "Right? I like my own target. I like a psycho. I..like a killer." "I don't think there's anything wrong with that." "What do you mean?" "A psycho is a psycho for a reason. There's must've been a trigger for that. He was once normal, you know?"

It’s difficult to use my warlock abilities right now because of how the drug is attacking my system. But I refuse to be a victim again. It’s a vow I made to myself all those years ago. I summon all my strength and feel the ground rumble. As do the shifters. Looks of alarm settle on their faces. “What the hell?” I smile weakly, not hiding my rage. “Retribution, assholes,” The ground bursts open and long thin vines race towards the panther shifters. They howl in fear and jump out of the way. I laugh angrily, as the vines change direction, almost as if they have a mind of their own and chase the shifters.

He leaned back in his seat. “Who are they?” I asked him. "It's the Alpha from the Lunar Shadows Pack," Phillip continued, his words fading into the background as my ears rang. A sudden sensation of dread washed over me, causing my face to pale and my body to tremble. The very pack that had taken away my parents was now making its way here. I would have no choice but to dance for them. “Are you okay? You look like you’re going to be sick. Oh, crap! Did you catch what Kai had?” Phillip stood from his desk worried.

The calm guy said. I was still in my previous position. Didn’t move a muscle. I wonder what they are going to do next. The bars open, I could tell from the sound. My eyes were closed but I could still sense two shadows standing in front of me. “I can’t believe we caught him alive. I heard a lot about this guy before and he is a fucking psycho.” The calm guy said and the other one sounded even panic. “Hurry! I don’t want to end up like Eric! It could be that he was awake by now.”

They were collapsing. The high-frequency singing hit their sensitive nervous systems like a physical strike. Hundreds of shifters went into violent, systemic seizures, their limbs twisting into impossible angles as they clawed at the stone floor. Blood leaked from their ears, turning the toxic slush into a dark, steaming soup. One massive rogue Alpha tried to stand, his yellow eyes rolling back into his head. His body jerked—once, twice—and then he hit the steel grate, his teeth snapping shut with enough force to shatter his own jaw.

As do the shifters. Milo continued in a singsong voice. “While they may lack the raw, dominant willpower of an Alpha or Omega, Beta shifters have excellent, efficient control over their transformations. Their shifts are potent and stable, lacking only the instantaneous fluidity or unique mastery of an Alpha. They learn quickly, adapting their techniques to new challenges with great mental flexibility.”

He revealed that humans and shifters weren't parasites; they were the Thought-Centers of the planet's new mind. The ground stopped shaking. The rapid growth of the forests slowed to a steady, peaceful rhythm. "YOU... ARE... THE... EYES," the Earth vibrated. "I... AM... THE... STRENGTH. WE... ARE... THE... NOW." A new type of bond formed. It wasn't the "Slave-Link" of the Star-Callers or the "Hive-Mind" of the Swarm. It was a Symbiosis. The shifters found their transformations were now effortless, fueled by the planet itself. The humans noticed their illnesses were being "Filtered" by the very air they breathed.
