The werewolf came, its feet hitting the ground mercilessly as its hands joined in its movement. It broke out from the woods, tearing off the leaves of the trees with less effort, and growling at the sight of the man. “You can't take anyone from my family.!” Mark grinned as he shifted under the bright moonlight. His bones cracked, and his skin stretched beyond its limits, tearing to become as tough as that of a wolf. He growled at the phantom, just as the phantom growled at him. Like two behemoths, they collided, and the green grasses on the ground fell victim to their battle.

Their scoundrel scent circulated in the air, oozing with the hunger to spill blood. “Jax, hounds.” I raced to grab him, but one hound leaped from the hood of the car, slamming Jax into the ashen coal tar, and he screamed in pain. The creature dislocated his shoulder. I kicked the ragged wolf off him and another tried to jump me, but I was fast enough to pull my dagger and slam it into the wolf's jugular. I lifted the dead wolf from the coal tar and plummeted it into the woods.

Carr didn't feel the blow that hit him square in the forehead. His body flew through the air, hitting the back of his head on a large rock. The sickening thud went unheard by the fighting Were's. The crumpled body of the chocolate colored wolf lay still, his chest barely moving. Blood dripped from his nose.

I swallowed, "you're my last resort coz you have information that I don't. I honestly don't know what to do. Please help clarify somethings to me." 'you have a minute before they realize you called.' The grounds grew very quiet. Cole’s cool facade was uncanny. He walked closer to where the she-wolf lay. She then suddenly reared up, snapping her jaws at him. Cole didn’t flinch before shooting her again. The bullet went into her opened jaw and blasted the back of her head open. She slumped to the ground and blood pooled on the snow. Cole calmly lowered his gun then, standing over the dead wolf with chest heaving, watching as she regressed. Xavier came to stand beside him and patted him on the back. Wulfrun did the same while Darrow crouched to examine the dead wolf.

As soon as the car was out of the academy grounds, Alpha Drex began talking. “I don’t feel good about this.” “As you should.” I snapped. “What the fuck was that supposed to mean?” He growled. ‘Relax,’ Austin said through our mindlink as our eyes locked on the rearview mirror. ‘Don’t let him rile you up now. We need answers.’ I took out a photo that Austin had given me earlier before sliding it to him. “Do you know this wolf?” It was a still shot from our CCTV, where we captured one wolf with an evident scar on his face.

Maybe I shouldn't have kicked them out so soon, but the thought of being in the same airspace as those assholes was too much for me to bear. There was movement on the screen as a pair of headlights came into view. I barely saw the shadow move as Wolf rolled beneath the car and out again. He hadn't even waited for the engine to be turned off, using the sound instead to camouflage his presence. He disappeared in the dark as the device came to life, sending a signal to my watch and another part of the dashboard screen.

A dead wolf rolled down from the top of the car and crashed heavily onto the ground in front of us. My eyes constricted sharply. Blood. There was so much blood… That wolf was the thing that slammed into our car. My fists clenched instantly while I forcefully swallowed the curse rising to my throat. Beside me, Gavin slowly recovered from the shock and turned toward me stiffly. “A-Alpha…” I didn’t waste time responding. Immediately, I bent down and opened the hidden compartment beneath the seat. A cold aura spread from my body as I pulled out two sharp knives before tossing one directly at Gavin.

Two men stood in the dark abandoned factory. “Can you smell that?” One of the men asked, looking around the dark alley. His brown eyes glints. “Yeah…” “It’s a Luna Puer blood splattered all over the place. I remember the smell very clearly despite having faced them only once and that was a long time ago.” “Hmm… A Luna Puer wolf, in our territory. How interesting.” “Well…” the first guy moved the carcass with a little push of his feet, “This Luna Puer wolf has been thoroughly shredded to the point that all that’s left of him that isn’t liquid is his wolf ear.”
