So after a long silence, she inhaled slowly and lifted her trembling hands toward her mask.
Inside her mind, she whispered softly, “It’s alright, Luna. Remove the disguise.”
Her wolf hesitated.
“Very well,” Luna replied quietly, caution lingering in her voice.
They had hidden for so long that revealing themselves now felt almost unnatural.
Still, perhaps this moment had been overdue for years.
Slowly, Chiara removed the mask.
Immediately, the dark tint at the ends of her hair faded away, revealing the lighter shade hidden beneath. The sterile scent blockers dissolved along with the disguise, allowing her true natural scent to fill the room once more.
