She looked confused but did not remark. Her eyes met with Noah’s but he diverted his gaze.

The hallway smells like old brick and marijuana. Apartment 4C is at the end of the hall. Alex tries the handle. It turns. We burst in. It’s exactly like the video feed, but the smell hits me first—stale sweat, fear, and the metallic tang of adrenaline. "Hello?" I call out. No answer. We rush into the living room. There she is. "Rabbit_hole_99" isn't a kid. She’s a woman in her forties, fit, with streaks of grey in her hair. She’s slumped in the wooden chair, her head lolling forward onto her chest.

The woman's restrained smile and the rabbit's scarlet, bloodshot eyes alternated before Brent's eyes. When he came back to his senses he was in the basement, with a dying rabbit under him. Rumble! Suddenly, a noise came from the rabbits’ direction. Kiran curiously hurried over and saw that the two rabbits had fallen into a deep hole. The hole was about one meter in diameter, and it looked bottomless. Kiran was reminded of the cave in Mount Mordor, so he jumped in right away. The walls of the cave were smooth, so nothing obstructed his way down. It got cooler and breezier as he got lower. It felt like a spring breeze at first, then autumn, and finally winter.

At where his eyes used to be are two deep, dark black holes. He is a rabbit skeleton! It’s the White Rabbit in the story. Meph recognizes the visitor instantly. Only, the rabbit is long dead, rotting already. And the most creepy thing is-- Those two empty black holes are looking right into Meph’s eyes, with a huge, evil grin forming on that face slowly. “You...lied...” The rotten face wiggles in a twisted way, the hole that once was a mouth opening and closing with evil in the sound coming out of it.

The scent of pine and damp earth mingled with the sweet smell of chocolate. Rachel beamed, her good cheer returning. “Awesome!
