Random Page Of A Book Novels & Stories

I find it strange that there are no notes or marked pages. I pick up the second book and am surprised that there are notes, but not in my hand. The handwriting is that of a man and seems old. Curiously, I follow the directions for the hand motions and see a pink smoke illuminating from my hand. Kwen's POV: I sat on my bed and picked my phone up to check the time. It was about 4:30 in the morning. I sat the phone down and picked the book up. I crossed my legs and laid the book on my lap, gently wiping my hand across the front cover. As if the book knew I was ready to recieve what was inside, it began to glow. I took a deep breath and went to open it to the first page. As I shifted the book to open, it's as if the book had a mind of its own. The pages flipped to mid book. I sat in shock as they kept flipping, until it stopped. I cautiously rested my hands on the pages. They glowed a bright golden color. I turn on the torch and flip the book to where I stop, which is page eighty-nine, and I continue from where I stop. Why do bad things happen to good people? Aurelia's POV When my buttocks started feeling numb, I adjusted my sitting position and placed the book in between my laps, flipping through the pages of the book to see if the writer had written more stuff between the pages. But unfortunately, there was none, the novel contained only the diary page. Quickly, I placed the book aside and started rummaging through the remaining pile of books beside me, scattering them and putting them aside in spite of the dust it caused. I opened every book, peering deep at the pages as I flipped through them. But there was nothing more. Oh no. What should I do now?

It wasn't until she noticed the strange book tucked away in the corner that she was able to distract herself from her thoughts. "I almost missed one," she whispered. As she walked over to it, she noticed that its cover was worn, and it seemed to emit a faint glow that caught her attention. Maybe it's how the moon perfectly acted as its own spotlight that made it seem so glowy, but it's not just that. She somehow felt a little hint of amusement as she stared at it. As she approached the book, she saw the shinny title written on it, Lunaria, and she couldn't help but be intrigued. The moonlight shining down on the pages illuminated the words in a way that made them seem to come alive.

I pull one out, glance at the first few pages, and then slip it back into its place before continuing. “Hmmm,” I hummed as I squatted to see the books at the bottom. My fingers glide along the books, and my heart stops when I read one of the titles, “How to Reject a Mate and the Consequences that Follow.” Slowly, I pulled the book from its slot and flipped through a few pages.

I smiled as he nodded again, his brown hair bouncing around as he leaned in a little closer. I opened the book and started flipping through the pages, looking for a good story or myth to read to him. I paused for a moment at the title page that read ‘The All Mother and the Sacred Four’, tilting the book towards Calix. He smiled and scooted closer, nodding again as I turned the final page and cleared my throat.

Even though I didn't really get to know her well when she was in the palace, we shared quite a few memories. Honestly speaking, I hated reading books. They were boring. Yet, I found myself swiping through every page of this book with more intensity as I aimed to cover the black and white chapters. You might think I was lying, but I could literally sleep from reading just one page of a book about how much I didn't like to read. But this particular book felt like I was able to relate to it. I continued to swipe through the pages of the book and came across something… Right there in the middle of the book, where it didn't open through, a page was left blank as if there were no messages at all.
