Cheyenne’s POV Ok, so in the last week alone, I find out that I’m allegedly “the chosen one” after having a private one-on-one meeting with Selene, the actual Moon Goddess herself, after I bashed my head trying to save one of the cheerleaders from being crushed by 3 ogre sized football players. I apparently already have my wolf, but I can only hear her at this point, and she wants me to train with some other pack to get stronger so we can shift and prepare for this alleged on coming war, BUT I have to do a shit ton of research to try and figure out who “they” are that are coming to attack us first so that way I can receive the “proper training”. Quinn found them and went after Raven, Osric tried to deescalate the situation, which didn’t work. Quinn was going to attack Osric to get to Raven, so Raven jumped in and defended Osric; she lost control and tore Quinn apart and became Alpha of Wolf Creek,” Embry explains, looking back at me as my eyes widen at the thought of Raven fighting an Alpha. “She beat Quinn one on one?” I can’t help asking, knowing wolves or Lycans don’t shift as young as Raven, let alone being able to beat a strong Alpha.

Raven replied coolly, taking another sip of her drink. The woman laughed, the sound devoid of humor. "Honey, in this club, every woman belongs to someone. The sooner you figure out your place, the easier your life will be." She extended a manicured hand, rings glinting in the dim light. "I'm Destiny. Viper's old lady." Raven shook her hand briefly, noting the strength in the grip, the calluses that spoke of work beyond looking pretty. "Raven." "So what's your story? You don't look like our usual crowd." Destiny's smile was sharp as a blade, her eyes missing nothing as they catalogued Raven's appearance, searching for weaknesses, for angles to exploit.

I whisper more towards myself. The tattoo is of no ordinary design. The intricate details almost seem inhumanly made. Swirls of dusty-grey storm clouds surround a midnight-blue sword. They begin at the handles and spiral throughout the golden blade. Behind the sword lays black and blue tip wings. Each feather tip is like a tempestuous addiction. The closer I come, I want to touch it. Visions of the wings wrapping around me, never allowing me to escape, consume my thoughts. I look up at Raquel and shiver, not understanding how a tattoo could be so powerful.

At this, the warriors stood straighter and their growls became more threatening. “And that’s fine Devin, but you unfortunately don’t have all the information.” Raven said as she took a step onto the grass and started walking toward him. A collective gasp and the wide eyes of Devin told her that they had no idea she was immune to it. “Wolfsbane, also, does not bother me. I am your true queen and I will be sitting on top when this is over. Listen to me know, you have to chose which side you are on. I am giving you a chance to come to our side and live. Those who don’t… die” Raven said lough enough everyone heard. Everyone was looking around and waiting to see if anyone would move. Devin’s eye

She dove like lightning from above, cutting Raven free. And Raven…gods, even weak and broken…was already reaching for her blade. A small, savage smile pulled at my lips. That was my mate. That was our Queen. I turned back to the enemy in front of me, gripping my sword tighter. No more distractions. No more mercy. Raven cleared a bloody path between herself and the Queen, eyes locked on Morgan with lethal intent. There was no hesitation in her steps…only vengeance. She was going for the kill.
