The entire place smelled like smoke, oil, and blood. Actual blood. My breathing caught painfully in my throat. Oh my God. “Look at the camera, pretty girl.” A hand suddenly grabbed my hair and yanked my head back so hard pain shot through my scalp. I cried out immediately as a phone flashlight was shoved directly into my face, the brightness making tears instantly gather in my eyes. The man holding the phone smirked while angling the camera toward me. “Ravens,” he said. “We got your girl.” Confusion hit me through the fear.

“Is that… the Raven Wolf King?” “Yes.” Grimm, who had followed me, answers. He leans on the wall next to the tapestry and looks up at it. “This is my favorite, to be honest.” I study the picture. A man with long black hair flowing to his waist and piercing black eyes stands in dark armor, a wolf insignia emblazoned on his chest. Behind him, lightning splits furious clouds while ravens wheel through the storm. One perched firmly on his shoulder. He looks imposing, shadowed, and dark.

~Celeste's POV~ Tilting my head to the side, I locked my gaze on the picture staring back at me. In the center was Lily, on her right stood Zane, and on the left was Colt grinning broadly at the camera. Naturally, Arden was absent from the photo, which didn’t surprise me, yet the thought that she had left it here last night lingered in my head. Perhaps I was imagining things, and she had simply forgotten it in my room.

Rows and rows of shelves were filled with oriental objects gathered from all over the world, from Chinese porcelain dolls to African traditional masks and figureheads. The walls were also filled with portraits of varying people, all wearing the same black turtlenecked gear she'd come to associate with Hunters, all with their names scribbled at the bottom of the portrait. Maddie whispered them as she walked: "Quincy James Ravenwood, Dorothea Viola Ravenwood, Imogen Olivia Ravenwood, Arthur Dursley Ravenwood..." And a picture of Jason, Ethan and Cassie's parents: Celia and George Ravenwood.

It's the black opal ring which is similar to the pendant she is wearing. Raphael wears it. She never saw him removing that ring. It is the symbol of a Raven clan royal. Irina and Cadmus also has similar kind of rings. Each ring has the name of the person engraved on the underside of the ring. She snatched the ring and looked at the underside of the ring for the name.
