Jessica grabbed Marcus' hand and pulled him to safety. In the chaos, I felt someone shove me. As the car barreled toward me, I froze in terror. The vehicle swerved sharply and hit me, dragging me along the ground. The pain was so intense that I blacked out, and cold sweat streamed down my face.

“Does it change anything if it is?” Anything? Like how I felt about him? “No,” I said honestly. It would even make him seem more interesting. “I’m just asking.” He studied me for a moment, like he was trying to gauge whether or not I was being honest before he eventually answered. “The races, yeah sometimes. As for the fights,” he chuckled. “I’m not exactly sure where those rumors stemmed from.” So the underground fight rumors were false? Where the hell did my mother hear about it then?

The blood in my veins felt like it had turned to ice. Fine? In her eyes, had these past five years really been "fine" for me? I'd spent every day playing a corpse, begging directors for more scenes just to scrape together an extra 50 bucks. Sometimes I was sprawled in the mud; sometimes I was face-down in foul drainage ditches. I'd lie there, motionless, for ten hours at a stretch. My old archenemy, Matthew Logan, had seen how far I'd fallen and seized every chance to mess with me, but I had no way to fight back.

Mel’s smile faded slightly. “A fight?” I nodded. “He said it was for luck before a fight.” Mel set her spoon down slowly. “Oh.” “What?” She leaned back in her chair. “He probably meant the underground fights.” I blinked. “The what?” Mel sighed. “There’s a fight club under the gym in town.” My eyes widened. “You’re kidding.” “I wish I was.” She shook her head. “Some of the academy boys participate in it.” “Atlas included.” I frowned slightly. “He didn’t seem like a bad person.”

“This isn't about the money. You're beginning to create a scene and if you keep this up, there'll definitely be a brawl here tonight.“ “Doesn't sound like a bad idea, does it?“ Arthur grinned, arching a brow. “I don't think you've noticed, but you're out-numbered.“ “I don't think you've noticed but I'm not a guy to give up something I want without a fight,“ “You've got a death wish. Why did you choose this nightclub to make it happen?“ Arthur was silent. But deep down, he was yelling out his frustration. He didn't have a death wish. Not when he's been dead for a long time. And that's why, so desperately, he's holding on to the insane reality playing out tonight. He needed to be alive again.

I said. "So today is the day where you publish your newest book and it's called The Real Deal. Can you tell us briefly what it is about?" The MC asked and I smiled nodding. "Well.. I don't want to spoil anything but it's based on my own love life. I wrote this book for my boyfriend, Ares, just to thank him for everything." I said and I turned to see Ares standing beside my dad. He smiled widely at me and I turned to the audience again nervously.

His face turn darkly as if he doesn't want what he just heard, but he composed himself and smile at me, fake. I can't help but to laugh because of it. Oh my god! Its good to be the princess of this province. As much as they want to hurt or answered back at me, they keep it. Well, except for those who has guts to fight back at me. Like Tina, she has guts to do that cause she's bitch like me. "You know what? Just let it out. It would be fun if you'll be my another enemy," then I laugh like a crazy.

Though he has stopped monitoring the island every moment… The world that was crazed with digitalization had finally learnt to take a break, to talk, to love, to feel, to unplug but how long this change will last only future can tell….
