Rebirth: Fated To The Lycan King 소설 & 이야기

"Don't you want revenge from the man who destroyed your beautiful life?" Princess Orla simply nodded her head, not thinking twice about it. "And you must discover the answer to your second question on your own. You will find out your 'How you got the Rebirth' when you get your revenge," the Moon Goddess said. ~~~~~~~~~~ The story is quite different from other Rebirth stories. The element of Rebirth comes after a few chapters as I wanted to give you time to understand the story. Please don't get confused. This is my first attempt at writing a werewolf/Lycan story. Constructive Feedback is always welcome. I hope you will enjoy it. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Looking forward to your support :-) Happy Reading :

I ran away and hid for five years and to finally get an answer to all my questions. The young boy that would always appear in my dreams experienced something that turned his heart to stone. He lost a loved one and because of that; he became the candidate for the Lycan King’s throne. The day he became the Lycan King, he started to punish the race of the person who killed his brother; witches. He loathed them so much that he bathed in their blood.

“Even if he's still going to reject you, my mind can't be put at ease” I tried to piece her words together but it was still hard to understand what she was talking about. “What—” “You are the Lycan King’s second chance mate. I overheard your discussion with Maera” My heart dropped. She knows. She found out. Maera finding out when we didn't want anyone to was enough but now, Freya too…. She straightened her back and raised her eyebrows, shrugging her shoulders. “Henceforth, I can't let you live”

“No one has ever survived his attack, but you did. That’s why fate blocked his bond with Lady Lorna, because it was never hers to have. It was always meant for you.” I looked down at my hands. “But why do the rogues want me?” She leaned in a little closer. “Because you have a hidden power,” she answered. “You belong to the Lycan King by fate, but the Rogue King wants that power. Not for love—no, he wants to use you. And when he’s done… he’ll kill you.” I felt life leave me for a brief second, my brain spinned with countless thoughts and questions I knew I would never get answers to.

She kissed me before I finished the thought, hard, both hands fisting in my shirt like she was afraid I might disappear if she let go, and I answered it just as hard, one hand sliding into her hair, the other still splayed protective over her stomach between us. When we finally broke apart, both of us breathing unsteady, I kept my forehead pressed to hers. “Lucian took everything from you once already,” I said, quiet now, dangerous underneath the quiet. “He watched you die and called it convenient. He’s spent this entire lifetime circling you like he still believes he’s owed something. That ends now.” “Alaric, be careful what you’re promising me.”

I cannot breathe. Her voices crash through my mind. “Four shall be bound to her soul, Their fates entwined, their strength united. Through their bond, the lost shall awaken, And the ancient bloodline shall be reborn. From their union, a king shall rise, A son of both past and future, To reclaim the throne long forsaken, And restore balance to the world. Bound by five, her strength shall awaken, And through their bond, the Lycans shall rise. The time nears. The White Wolf stirs.”

But as I stood between my father and the Lycan King, I couldn’t escape the growing suspicion that perhaps my rebirth had changed more than my memories. Perhaps fate hadn’t simply returned me to the beginning. Perhaps it had awakened something within me. And whatever that something was, I had a feeling we were only beginning to see its first signs.

She placed her hands over her mouth in shock as I held on to her, unwilling to accept this. None of us knew the Lycan king was this young anyways and moreover, no one would believe that he attended this kind of events. Well practically because no one had ever seen him present but seeing him away from the ceremony explains it. “If I'll ask, what do you mean ‘in this life’?” He questioned and my breath hitched. Why was the moon goddess given me the worst choices ever? What was going through her sick head to Mate ne with the Lycan king?

“Yes please. I want to get it done with.’’ I answered determinately. “The king must have communicated the circumstances attached to the rituals with you..…’’ ‘‘No, he hasn't.’’ I nearly interrupted. ‘‘Then at least you must know some certain things already, including your connection to the curse on our land.’’ ‘‘If you mean my moon mark, then yes I do.’’ I answered. “You must also know that it is your fate to restore the Lycan males of their suffering even though it means putting your life on the line.’’ She stated. I was forced to a pause this time, drawing the hardest inhale of my life. “What are the chances?’’ I asked, fists clenched beside my thighs.

“You crossed into the Forbidden Territories three minutes ago. My territory.” My blood ran cold. The Forbidden Territories belonged to no one. Except… the stories. The whispers of a king with no pack, no mercy, and a curse that killed every woman he touched. The Lycan King. “You’re him,” I breathed. “Darius.” He said his name like a verdict. He closed the distance between us until I could feel heat rolling off him, scenting the air with frost and pine and something wilder. Something that called to the empty place Kade had carved out of me.
