Paint My World Red
I asked, changing the topic and thinking of designing the cake I had in mind with his favorite color.
“Blue and green,” he answered, creasing his forehead.
“Your parents should have named you Blue or Green instead of Red,” I muttered and wondered if he named his sons after his favorite colors.
“I did, but all I could say that time was waah, waah, waah!”
“Oh, God!” My mouth released a laugh, but my hands flew to my face, hiding my embarrassment as I remembered my awful joke the first time we met.
“The first time I heard that from you, I wanted to laugh, but I couldn’t,” he shared as he wiped the tears that shimmered in my eyes from laughing too much.
