Review Of The Book Night Novels & Stories

Hello all, as book one has come to an end, or what I’d consider an okay path for a new book.. I’ve decided to continue the series, or at least begin a second book following this one. The what ifs and mysteries will continue, for now. Will you follow the journey of Ashani, and Clara in the next book? What else has Wildwood unleashed, or what has it been covering up? There’s more twists and new dangers ahead. Let me know your thoughts on Night at Wildwood, and what you think will surface next? Dark of Night Copyright 2019 Emily Goodwin Chapter One “What do you see when you look at this one?” The doctor holds up a card, showcasing an ink splotch that’s twisted and creepy, with eyes that follow you no matter where you go. I look at it, heart hammering away inside my chest. The mess of ink on the white paper reminds me of the monster that lurks in Nana and Papa’s basement, the one that tried to get Abby and Scott to go downstairs with it.

She placed both hands on her face as she closed her eyes for some time. She had just had a one-night stand. But why does it feel so different? Wasn't it supposed to be simple? Why did she still feel that attraction towards this person? It felt as though he should come back and have her all to himself. She still wanted him. Badly! She tried to get off the bed but immediately her feet touched the room floor, she felt something beneath her feet so she took her feet up to see and then spotted a small size of paper. She picked it up and froze.

Her eyes brightened at the sight of the books. “Good morning, dear. Any recommendations for a book to curl up with?” she asked, voice warm but tinged with hesitation. I folded my novel shut and looked up, offering her the practiced smile that hid the iron beneath. “Depends on what you like. Something light? Something dark?” She hesitated, then said, “Dark, but with hope.” I tapped a book nearby, The Night Circus. “This one weaves mystery and magic, but underneath, it’s a story about trust and power.”
