Alexander gushes in excitement. "Okay I will come." Rushes Amara. She wanted to get out of the devil's abode some way or the other. Nothing he speaks next goes inside Amara's head. "Alex I am feeling very frightened here. Everybody had gone out to watch a horror movie playing at a nearby theater and I am alone. Could you please come home instead of the driver to pick me?

He was lying face down, and face up, all at once. I live in that house now. I am the village "fixer." And every night, I listen to the scratching beneath the floorboards. Marinetta's scroll read: "I speak without a mouth and hear without ears. I have nobody, but I come alive with the wind. What am I?" She pondered the riddle, her mind racing. After a moment, she smiled. "An echo," she whispered, and the scroll glowed brightly, the words rearranging to form a key. Harley's scroll presented a different challenge: "I can be cracked, made, told, and played. What am I?" He furrowed his brow, thinking deeply. "A joke," he said confidently, and the scroll responded in kind, forming another key. Seraphina's scroll was the most complex: "I am not alive, but I grow. I do not have lungs, but I need air. I do not have a mouth, but water kills me. What am I?"

“That is not in for debate, Lucia, it is me ordering you that you are going to have dinner with me” Riley was also looking at him with keen curiosity. I could tell that she was equally thinking what I was thinking. There was something wrong with him. He most definitely must have banged his head against something and that must have touched his brain or so. If Angel is to see him now she is going to think he was being weird. He scares her, she calls him the big scary monster and Richard is the scariest like the nuns in the orphanage that she had been taken from.

Silly as it might sound, I am most afraid of ghosts and Damian isn't making it damn easy for me. “ I am not scaring you. Look behind you."

With a choir, singing in her living room! “Beth,”Emma said ever so sweetly,“honey,are you totally sure you weren't having a dream?You must realize how this sounds!All this talk of caskets and corn children giving you ominous warnings….did you watch a horror movie before bed?You know how those upset you.” Beth composed herself as best she could.”No, I didn't watch a horror movie Em.I came downstairs thinking I’d left the telly on and there in my living room was a casket with me in it!And a choir of children.”

And with each riddle we solved, the shadows seemed to grow darker, the maze more treacherous. [Rachel's POV] I woke up in a cold sweat, my heart pounding in my chest. The vivid images from my dream lingered in my mind, replaying like a haunting movie. A lycan and a wolf locked in a fierce battle, a woman and a little girl running for their lives. The terror of the chase, the slashing claws, and the echoing screams filled my ears. It was a recurring nightmare that had haunted me since childhood.

We all look at her and she rolls her eyes. “Seriously, you haven’t figured it out? What is the only thing that all species fear?” We all stop eating and look at her. “Do you mean like death?” I scoff. “I don’t fear death, so give us a clue. Is it another shifter?” I ask and she picks up a carrot off my plate and I narrow my eyes at her. “Well, it isn’t death, but no, definitely not a shifter. The one every shifter fears.” I throw my head back. I’ve had enough of the fucking riddles.

She tried to ignore the actions of The Nightmares, who tried to attack her with madness. “Hisssss… you are hiding something… Amicus… something precious…” hissed The Nightmares. “Hisss … you bring misfortune to your friends… all die but you live…. How unfair…” hissed The Nightmares. Astrid swallowed hard. She tried to stay calm. Her forefinger clogged the ear holes on the left and right. Don't listen to The Nightmares saying, Astrid! They are trying to scare you! They want to see the look of terror on your face, Astrid!
