Tired of losing people, of being hunted, of being part of some prophecy I still didn’t understand. “She killed one of the Elders,” Robin finally choked out. “The one who figured out you were alive… and wanted to send warriors after you. No one else knew why she did it. She refused to give an explanation. So the council sentenced her to death. She died fighting off the execution squad.” I blinked, absorbing the weight of his words. “Then tell me,” I said. “What’s the prophecy?” “You… don’t know it?” he asked, almost incredulous.

- During the morning court assembly, Robin was distracted, having already prepared himself for a death sentence. After all, he had an unfilial daughter. She only cared about her freedom, dragging the entire family down with her. He barely made it through the court session, expecting the king to keep him back and pronounce his punishment. Yet unexpectedly, the king seemed to have forgotten about the arrangement from a month ago and simply left the hall after court was dismissed. Robin felt as if his breath had lodged itself in his chest, stuck between rising and falling. Suddenly, he wasn't sure anymore. Was he supposed to die today or not?

I crossed my arms and said, “I waited for hours. I don't even know when I fell asleep." Jason looked surprised, then his face turned serious. My wolf tensed inside me and said, ‘Calm down. He doesn’t know anything.’ “I have some bad news. Robin is dead,” Jason finally said. “What? How?” I asked in fake surprise. “We found his body in one of our escape tunnels. We are still trying to figure out what happened,” Jason explained. “Why was he in the tunnel?” “That’s what I want to know. He wasn’t supposed to be down there.”

Ricky’s POV One week later The news took the wind out of me and I stood in utter shock and disbelief for over an hour, trying to process what I had just heard. I was struggling to wrap my head around how it could’ve happened and I couldn’t. None of it made any sense to me. Alpha Robin died in his sleep last night. I shut my eyes, trying to keep the tears at bay. There was a lot of work to be done and I had to keep my grieving for a later time.

With a crisp sound, Robin's delicate body fell to the ground. Lukas grabbed her black robe, tore it into pieces, and said coldly, "Damn it, playing with me? I think you are tired of living!" Realizing that she could not escape from Lukas, Robin was desperate. Her heart was filled with resentment. It was Darryl! It was all Darryl's fault. He pretended to be her and deceived Lukas, and that caused her subordinates to die miserably, and then she was caught or humiliated by Lukas.

I was disappointed. Rowan smiled. "Are you looking for Robin?" I nodded and sat up. "Robin... he—" "What happened to him?" He looked down and said, "He finally told me you are his mate..." I gasped in surprise and blinked my eyes a few times unbelievably. "He did?" Rowan nodded with a faint smile. I can't believe it.

Debra said, folding her arms against her chest. "We did," he muttered. Debra was shocked. Her posture changed as she looked surprised. "You did?" Stephen looked away from her and replied, "We looked for Robin and discovered him overseas. Ian almost killed him. Even in his deathbed, Robin refused to admit the truth, instead blaming everything on Ava. It was clear to us that he might be right. Because how could anyone lie when he was so close to dying?" Debra was at a loss for words. Ian really investigated all of this matter?

Robin survived, but his spine was shattered and he was crippled from the waist down. Everyone was left gaping as he stayed stuck in the wall, afraid to make a sound. Frank simply picked up his medical ingredients and turned to leave, while none of Robin's thugs dared to stop him. Helen watched as he went and suddenly called out, "Frank…" Frank did not look back at all. Blondie was left staring at Robin in turn, at a loss for what to do. It seemed that they had to call Leo Grayson about this…

Blood sprayed across the stone. He released the body and before it had even finished falling, he rotated to meet the second attacker, catching its foreleg and snapping it with one brutal twist before slamming it into the ground and finishing it. The third and fourth rogues hesitated. That hesitation cost them. Robin didn’t wait for them to recover. He was already moving, his jaws locking around the neck of one of them—he slammed it repeatedly against the ground until it stopped moving entirely. The fourth turned to run. It didn’t make it three steps.

It was William, the Alpha from the Ice Plains Pack, standing behind me. His voice was filled with sorrow, "When you sent him to the Ice Plains, I knew he died painfully. But I didn’t expect... A ten-year-old cub, betrayed by his pack, mauled by lone wolves, abandoned by his father... and forced to watch himself bleed to death." Andrew's final memories were of waiting for death.
