We drove another ten minutes before we pulled into the driveway of a massive house, then I saw eyes in the distance. Glowing. Frankie put the car in park and shut it off, turning to me. “When you get out, do not move and don’t let him smell your fear.” I laughed, “What are you talking about?” He smiled, “Wait for me.” He got out of the car, and I watched as the eyes got closer, slowly. I was starting to get scared. I wasn’t at first, not until Frankie said something. I jumped when he opened the door, “Come on, time to meet Maximus. We call him Max, though.”
