To his left, Cato—a leaner, wiry wolf with narrow eyes and a constant smirk—twirled a wooden training dagger between his fingers. The third, Bram, shorter but barrel-chested, snickered like he was auditioning for a hyena pack.
“Didn’t think they let house pets in this place,” Fenric continued, his tone casual, cruelly amused. “What was the name again? Rian… Graytwig?”
“Greythorn,” Cato corrected mockingly, drawing the name out with exaggerated pomp. “Sounds like a tree branch someone sneezed on.”
